- It seems to me that a lot of the problems can be fixed by simply taking the phone to your carrier and asking them if they can fix it. Just a Observation...
Posted: 16 May 2019 07:27 PM PDT I dropped my phone about 5 hours ago now. Since then, I've had two vertical white lines down my screen. The touchscreen still works perfectly fine though, even over the white lines. FaceID still works aswell. The only thing that seems to be effected is the screen itself. I've tried using common fixes to software problems to no avail just in case. How much does something like this cost to replace, and does anyone know what may of happened? [link] [comments] |
Old iPhone 3GS not booting up? Posted: 16 May 2019 12:58 PM PDT I recently got an iPhone 3GS on Ebay for about 14$, it is an old bootrom one and it is running 4.2.1 so I decided to buy it. But today when it arrived, I plugged it in to my charger and the Apple logo popped up just like any other dead iPhone, but after staying on the Apple logo screen for a while it went back to a black screen and when I try to turn it on, it said that the battery is dead. But I've been charging it for 30 minutes now and still have the issue :(. Thank you for reading my post and sorry for my bad English. [link] [comments] |
How to load/find notification or ringtone sounds on phone Posted: 16 May 2019 08:57 AM PDT So I have a question. I am not an iPhone user but my wife is. I have a sound on my phone (Galaxy), which I messaged to her so she could use on her X. She received it, is able to play it, then she saved it using that box with the up arrow button/ save to file function. It saved in a "pages" folder I think. From there, is there a way to get it able for use as a notification sound? It didn't show up as an option in the sounds and haptics menu. I hope this made sense. It was easier for her before Zedge stopped working and since my Zedge app still works, I find the tones she likes and would like to send it to her. Thanks in advance!🤙🏽 [link] [comments] |
Need help transitioning from Note 4 to iPhone 7. More info inside. Posted: 16 May 2019 11:01 AM PDT So I was going to upgrade to a Pixel 4 when it came out but came across an iphone 7 that is free so I will just jump ship to apple again for the next 3-4 years or until apple cripples/slows down the 7. The last iphone I had was a 5s. I used to have a pretty good idea about it, had it jailbroken and working pretty well. Its been so long since I have transitioned from one ecosystem to another that I just forgotten. So I know I can get my contacts moved over onto my SIM. I use facebook messenger essentially for everything text related but I remember apples native messaging being fine. So that covers the contacts. I'm not too concerned about moving over the text convos but I do need to move pictures over. I am used to a lot of google apps and was going to use that. Would I be able to upload everything to google photos/cloud and sync through that? The iphone 7 only has 32gb so theres no way I am going to be using it for the photo/video storage. I just updated to the 12.3 OS so I don't think theres a jailbreak for it yet but I can manage that later. Anyway, what all else should I consider? I used to have an apple account will have to go through the account reset because for some reason I always had trouble keeping track of the apple id passwords and it was a nightmare resetting it. Can't send emails with default mail app? Posted: 16 May 2019 06:37 AM PDT iPhone XS Max, iOS 12. When clicking on an email link from a text message for example, it brings up the compose sheet. I can enter an email, subject and full email, but cannot send any emails this way. The Send button is grayed out and cannot be used. Email is correct, passwords are correct. I can send email when replying or composing a new email. [link] [comments] |
How can i be sure if my phone is still working fine? Posted: 16 May 2019 06:23 AM PDT I made a post here about it but for tldr: i accidentally touched my screen with a very very small amount of acetone on my hands and it started glitching, i hard resetted it and it stopped glitching but i cant click the screen... Home and lock button still works. After that whole thing I left it for a while till the battery dropped to 0 and then i tried charging it again. I can click the screen now and able to open the phone but i havent gone further like opening apps since im afraid it will break again. Is there anyway to make sure it still okay before opening it again? Its out of warranty so im not sure if i can head to an apple store for help... [link] [comments] |
