You only have room on your device for 5 games, which do you go for and why?

Please suggest a RPG game $0 - $5 with no paywalls

    Posted: 11 May 2019 01:10 PM PDT

Looking for a decent RPG that once I pay there are no pay to win, micro transactions etc... that I need to buy after the fact. Thx for your suggestions.

Are the GTA / Sonic games horribly optimized on newer devices?

    Posted: 12 May 2019 09:03 AM PDT

Since they don't get updated often, are they badly optimized on iPhone XR?

    Searching Game!!!!!!

    Posted: 12 May 2019 06:48 AM PDT

I have been playing this game of basically worms digging through the ground and having weapons. (The game I am searching for IS NOT WORMS) And it wasn't by turns, you could keep on digging for as long as you wanted and the goal was to kill the other worms. It was a 2D game, so you saw everything from the side view. Does anyone remember the name?

    Real Mahjong games

    Posted: 11 May 2019 11:56 PM PDT

Hi guys! Can you suggest me any real Mahjong iOS games that are still in the store? When I search through the store I find mostly solitaire games which are not mahjong at all.

I'm mostly interested in MCR, Hong Kong and SBR (Sichuan Bloody Rules) if any. I've already got "Mahjong 13 tiles" (which is good but it has ads that I hate and no option to pay to get rid of them) and "HKS Mahjong" (which is ok, but has some issues with screen resolution on my iPhone XS and because of that just doesn't look appealing to me unfortunately).

Please don't suggest Riichi games as I already have "Kemono Mahjong" and "Mahjong Demon".

Anything like Octopath Traveler on iOS that’s not anime?

    Posted: 11 May 2019 08:34 PM PDT

    Hi all,

I loved Octopath Traveler on my Switch, and surely there are a few games like it on iOS. I enjoyed the turn-based combat, the gearing up, the choices in abilities/skills, the group choices...standard RPG fare. I wish it did have more story and multiplayer, but it was really fun all the same.

OT had pixel graphics, which though a tad...Asian, weren't too bad. But I just can't stand anime graphics. And it seems 9 out of 10 RPGs on the App Store are anime games. Hard pass, ty.

Any recommendations on games similar to OT would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA.

Is there any boxing career simulator type of game?

    Posted: 11 May 2019 08:37 PM PDT

Something along the lines of Football Manager or Motorsport Manager, as opposed to a focus on the gameplay itself. Pretty much managing training, injuries, long term damage, picking contracts, and just the overarching story without having a blatantly obvious story mode?

    Together with “android Friends“

    Posted: 12 May 2019 02:24 AM PDT

Hey together, i'm Looking for a new nice Game which I can play together (Same server) with ppl using android. Also a few important things for me:

    1) Not p2w, i like game where you can buy one pkg for getting vip state or something like this but not 12vip level or where you need 20€+ per week or month.

    2) it should be possible to play together, like in a clan or coop missions etc.

    3) a game where you still progress/collect things when you are offline. So you don't need to be online all the time.

    4) what game type? I don't like shooter on smartphones. We played a lot idle heros (soooo much p2w), endless frontiers (24/7, not possible if you need a smartphone somewhere else). Sometimes clash of clans, clash royal but we are not that interested in this games any more.

    5) it would be nice if u can start on a new server every few days/weeks so you can start together with other ppl and you don't need to farm up ;)

Just link me a few games, thank you for every single one :)

Sorry for my bad English 😅

I play with my siblings once a week on our iPad. What are some more games like these?

    Posted: 12 May 2019 01:02 AM PDT

I'm overseas and we Skype once a week and play either minecraft or roblox, they're 9 and 7 years old, I was wondering what other coop games we could play that would be fun for that age. Free would be a bonus, but paid is okay if it's good. Thank you!

Best Mifi Controller Supported Games On iOS?

    Posted: 11 May 2019 05:18 PM PDT

Title explains most of it. Just got a Nimbus as a gift and looking for games to play with it. I have Fortnite which is great but are there any others I should look for?

    Any great online co-op games?

    Posted: 11 May 2019 06:11 PM PDT

I'm looking for something like Unison League, where I can play with other players really quick when nothing is going on at work. However, UL is a gacha game and isn't really all that fun. I've tried Dragalia Lost, though I wasn't really hooked on that either, possibly due to it's reliance on using higher power progression as it's carrot on a stick, without too many interesting bosses or levels.

I would personally prefer it if the game used little data and/or had cosmetic character customization, though I'm more curious what games I should check out.

[DEV] Quantum Contact - a space adventure!

    Posted: 11 May 2019 01:37 PM PDT

Hi /r/iosgaming! My indie game I developed over a period of 6 months is called Quantum Contact and is available on iOS (and Android)! App Store Link

    VIDEO TRAILER

    What is the game about?
Quantum Contact is a single-player offline space game featuring a unique storyline where Earth's space station receives a quantum signal from a nearby star. The quantum message is decoded with plans on how to build a small spaceship that will be sent on a mission to Jupiter's Galilean Moons!

What kind of game is it?
Quantum Contact is a 2D scifi space game where you pilot a remote shuttle down into moon caverns using thrust. There you avoid falling rocks, ice shards, and treacherous rock-faces that are slightly different every time you play, as you find materials to help upgrade your ship and continue the story.

There are three different piloting modes: Explorer (easy/normal), Medium (hard), and PRO (extremely difficult). Explorer mode has up and down thrust and is more relaxing, whereas Medium and PRO have thrust levels and is very challenging. You can change modes at any time. Relax on explorer mode as you collect materials and descend into various caverns before heading to the Kuiper Belt... and beyond.

    More Features:
    - A single-player indie space adventure.
    - A unique science fiction story, and soundtrack.
    - Realistic imagery using publicly released and public domain NASA imagery and real photography or images of Jupiter and the Galilean Moons Europa, Callisto, Ganymede and IO from NASA missions.
    - 3 Different piloting modes, start on Explorer mode, play the game over on Medium, etc.!
    - Explore semi-procedurally-generated moon caverns.
    - Upgrade your shuttle with two tiers of upgrades.
    - Journey to the Kuiper Belt, and battle a unique foe.
    - Play on your terms: Autosaves and a 'Ready' button before cavern explorations.
    - NEW: Review your next mission with the Station Captain on the pause screen!
    - Absolutely no in-app-purchases, no ads, no paywalls, no "pay-to-win".
    - USB Controller support is available.

    App Store Link

Thank you for considering giving the game a try, and I look forward to hearing your feedback if you decide to support my hard work! I hope you enjoy playing!

Is Minecraft on iOS basically Minecraft at this point? I know you can’t have mods and stuff, but I am so lost on what you can do. Would YT tutorials help or are they geared for pc version?
