    Do you think apple will actually step up their limited lighting capabilities? I have the iPhone XS right now and recently tried a pixel 3 for the night mode and other modes. It was incredible. It wasn’t enough to consider a Permanent switch. Still iPhone used to be top dog in cameras.

    How to download over 150 Mb apps on App Store without WiFi. Set your date forward exactly 3 months. Once you’ve downloaded your app, set it back. I don’t have WiFi, but have unlimited data. I know it can piss you off, but hopefully I help some people out there in my same situation!

    Hi! I've been experiencing some battery problems with my iPhone SE lately. My battery drains super fast, it was 100% charged 3 hours ago and it's on 33% now with average usage and in battery-saving mode. My phone has also been shutting down at 10-15% and when I try to turn it back on it says the battery is dead. I checked and my battery health is at 82%, so it shouldn't be that bad? Anyway, do you think replacing the battery would fix the problem or is it probably something else?

    iPhone deletes messages immediately

    My stepmom's iPhone has been having an issue with keeping texts since 2012. She could send texts, but received texts do not notify her, and if she catches them and sees them, they'll be automatically deleted as soon as she closes the messages app. If it's a message from an iPhone, she'll get the message in her Imessages but not in her texts. Which means if she gets a text from an android, it gets deleted and she may never see it. She's tried restoring all settings and we've made sure the phone is set to keep messages forever, and she even upgraded from iPhone 5c to iPhone 8 about 7 months ago. Nothing has fixed the issue. Is there anything we can do, or will she have to fork out additional money to Apple to fix this issue?

    Why is my battery so awful ?

    So pretty much I have had a iPhone 7 for the past around 2 weeks and what I noticed is just how big of a difference low battery mode does to my phone.

    I just turned it off and used my phone for like 10 minutes and it burned off 3% like it's nothing

    My phone is at 88% battery health and the battery life is perfectly fine when it's on low battery mode but once it's off the battery turns into trash

    Any tips ?

    Cheapest iPhone that supports CarPlay?

    Do all iPhones have/support CarPlay?

    My car has CarPlay and I'd like to get an inexpensive iPhone (or iPad?) that can connect to the car really just to get navigation on the car's screen. I'd connect the iPhone to the internets via hotspot from my Android phone.

    I see some ads for a 6s for around $100.. which is more than I'd like to spend given the really limited use the device would get.. but I know phones aren't cheap.

    eSIM

    Just wondering how many people actually use the eSIM if they have the option to do so by their provider? And do you just use one or two numbers if you did activate the eSIM option?

    My provider just started to offer the eSIM option and now I finally don't have to carry two phones anymore for work and personal use. Very happy with this! 😄

    Any tips or tricks from users?

    [Guide] Free System Wide Ad-Block Without Jailbreak

    Since many are not aware that system wide ad block is possible on iOS here is a quick guide:

    1. Download and install "DNSCloak" from the App Store, Open it and install the VPN profile as directed
    2. Download and save the hosts file from here as a .txt file on your local storage (Use an app like "Documents")
    3. Open DNSCloak, Navigate to Settings and turn on "Connect On Demand" and then navigate to "Blacklists & Whitelists"
    4. Click on "Pick Blacklist file" and point it to the hosts.txt file that is saved on your phone
    5. Go back to the main menu and select any of the "AdGuard-dns" listed or any of the providers that your would like. (Do some research on the DNS provider you pick since some feel it as a potential privacy risk)
    6. Go to system settings > VPN > DNSCloak and turn on "Connect On Demand"
    7. Connect to it and wait until it says "Connected"

    Cellular data/ WIFI loading

    So lately I've noticed that my iPhone 8 Plus will only load apps when on WiFi (Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Spotify, and Soundcloud). Wondering if there is a setting in my phone that I need to switch. Also, I have unlimited data with AT&T. Really frustrating, help is much appreciated.

    My mother got a new iPhone 7 last week and since then it got really warm two times. In addition to that heavy battery drain was present.

    She was not playing any intense games or running any resource demanding apps, just adding events to her calendar or browsing the web.

    Is this a common thing/the way indexing is supposed to work or is there something I can do to fix it? The phone is on iOS 12.2.

    TOTALLY lost with iPhone SE microphone issue.

    So a friend gave me his old iPhone SE with a ripped off screen and a bulging battery; I replaced the battery and display for about $45, and it works perfectly now... except for this one weird issue with the microphone. See, in Voice Memos and in third party apps like Google Assistant it works perfectly, but in things like iMessage voice messages or things such as Siri and Dictation the mic doesn't work. Doesn't register anything, like the mic is broken. Both mics, the bottom and rear one work in other apps. What could this be?

    Lost videos and voice memos making space for iPhone

    I don't have any backup for iCloud due to a lack of space and I don't have a working computer so I couldn't make a backup from my iTunes. I've been looking at data recovery tools, but all of them seem to cost a lot of money, or seem too good to be true. Is there anything I can do?
