| PSA about repairing for battery issues Posted: 09 May 2019 06:18 AM PDT I've seen a few posts about battery drains lately. I too had my S4 at 10% before noon a few times. Some of the advice was "restart the watch every few days." And remove unnecessary complications. After doing a lot of removing of third part apps, I had my S4 consuming less battery and was feeling better until I noticed that while sleep tracking on airplane mode, the battery still went from 100% to about 82% by morning. Which seemed excessive to me. So I unpaired the watch to factory erase it, then restored from backup. The whole process took about an hour, and I did have to resetup my Apple Pay and a few other things like a few watch faces lost their complications. But now the battery life is back to what I expect. Using it normally (not theatre mode) I wore it from 6am to 12pm and it went from 100% to 95%. When I got home after work (4pm) it was still at 91%. That's the battery life I remember from when I bought it. So my tip is, limit third party apps (I still use some like carrot for complications), and do a repairing. [link] [comments]  | ||

The past two nights, it has registered zero deep sleep for me, but I've gotten almost 8hrs of sleep. I've struggled with quality sleep issues in the past so I'm caught wondering whether this is a fluke or a real thing for me. | Posted: 09 May 2019 07:04 AM PDT Hi, I've had a series 2 for a few years; today I decided I wanted to switch to list view for the apps, and I can't seem to find it? I know the option used to be there when I'd force touch the main app honeycomb screen. Now when I do that, the icons just wiggle like I'm supposed to rearrange/delete apps. I've dug in the phone settings, all over the watch, I can't find it. Was the option removed, am I doing something wrong, or am I hallucinating? | Trying to figure out if the Apple Watch is right for me Posted: 08 May 2019 01:06 PM PDT Good afternoon, So recently I have switched over to Apple products from being a hardcore Windows and Android guy (I now use MBA and iPhone), and the thing I love most is the seamless integration between everything. I haven't really wore watches much in the past, though I feel like the Apple Watch could be useful to me. I tend to forget things a lot, and having like, reminders on my wrist to do things would be well appreciated. I am also a student, so having a blip on my wrist to tell me to get back to work, or to have a quick chat message on my wrist might be handy. I am not pinching pennies, but as a student I do need to be more conscious with my money, and I am wondering if I should either get an Apple Watch S4 when the 5 comes out, or buy and upgrade a 2012 iMac for my new apartment. I am just wondering if I can hear some opinion regarding why I should get a watch. Also some questions, -How do you all customize your watches to get the msot usage out of them? -Do you think the GPS only is worth the pricetag? -What size would be the best size for a large guy. | Watch is not connecting to Wifi Posted: 09 May 2019 12:25 AM PDT So I'm running the latest developer beta on both my iPhone X and my Watch 3. It seems, that my watch does not connect to my wifi anymore. When i go to settings menu on the watch to manually join a network it keeps telling me that the password is wrong. I noticed the cheap knockoffs on amazon are silicone based and the Apple ones are fluoroelastomer based. Does anyone have long term experience with the darker color Nike bands? It's for my significant other and I so two watches and we currently have 7 bands in total, so looking to store 5 for now, with some room to expand (don't see us owning too many more than 10, would be fine with doubling up if the case allows it). | Activity Tracker and Workout Tracker Results Do Not Match Posted: 08 May 2019 12:46 PM PDT My Apple Watch Series 4 does not accurately calculate my activity with the app. For example, my outdoor waking workout today was 62 minutes long, but the activity tracker only recorded 47 minutes. Does anyone else have an issue with this problem? If so, has anyone been able to correct it to make the activity tracker and workout tracker at least somewhat match the recordings?
