MLB TV app keeps going to homepage after a couple minutes Posted: 08 May 2019 08:18 PM PDT I bought the 4K this week and I keep having an issue with the MLB tv app where it closes the app and goes to the home page. I have a good wired internet connection. Anyone know what it could be? [link] [comments] |
A needed addition to APTV would be Equipment Control like Fire TV Stick 4K Posted: 08 May 2019 08:47 PM PDT The HDMI Receiver and TV power control on APTV is either on or off. On and it always turns the TV AND Receiver on and switches the speakers to external. This is not optimal. The majority of time I and likely others typically use the TV speakers except for movies, sports etc. Off you have to turn TV off separately. Fire Stick allows you to add or remove components separately and control how ports on those components will be selected and controlled. APTV is great but this is one area they've some catching up to do if they're to demand twice the price. [link] [comments] |
Question about Infuse Purchase Options Posted: 08 May 2019 10:38 AM PDT Kind of confusing how they're offering this (well as I see it) so hoping someone can clarify things for me. In the app store I see Infuse 6 with monthly 0.99, yearly $9.99 and lifetime $54.99 purchase options but there is also Infuse Pro 6 for $24.99 with no description of what that is as far as term length. Is the Pro the upgrade price from 5? I just want to be able to stream something from Google Drive or an HDD attached to my router. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 May 2019 10:45 PM PDT Has anyone recently purchased an appletv 4K that came with tvOS 12.1? I'm trying to find one with the correct week of manufacture that is in the serial number. If yours came with 12.1, your serial is the perfect example. Just need to know the fourth and fifth characters in the serial number. Thanks for any help or for just reading this! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 May 2019 07:52 PM PDT Over the last month, on a daily basis I have noticed my Apple TV struggling to get a solid internet connection. Every app I use, Netflix, YouTube, HBO, all will randomly pixelate and it will do this once a day, every day. A restart immediately fixes the pixelation. Has anyone else experienced this? Apple TV 4K - flashing light, no boot, no image, does not show up in iTunes for restore Posted: 08 May 2019 11:29 AM PDT My mother in law brought me her Apple TV 4K(A1625) today as it was just suddenly not booting up and just flashing a white light. I was really thinking this would be a simple matter of a restore through iTunes but that is not working. I was able to connect usb-c from apple tv to my PC, but iTunes will not see it. I tried something suggested online which was holding menu and tv button to make it flash fast, and then let go and IMMEDIATELY hold menu and play button down. This does do SOMETHING as it causes the apple tv to be recognized in device manager and says it is in DFU mode. iTunes still refuses to recognize it. I tried one more suggested thing which is to unplug the USB from the pc and reboot the pc, and then plug back in once back up. iTunes still doesn't see it despite the computer showing it recognized in DFU mode. At this point I assume this thing is a brick for whatever reason. I've read stuff about ATVs losing power while in sleep mode(but not updating) and just bricking. I'm going to take it up with Apple at this point as I am reading that this specific issue may be covered even if it is out of warranty. Is there anything else that anyone suggest I try here that I haven't already tried or have I done all I can? EDIT: I might actually be making some progress here. I switched to another PC and it found the ATV right away once I got back into DFU mode. The only difference here is this PC's install of iTunes was a normal .exe from the Apple site, and the previous PC was one from the Microsoft Store. Apparently the MS store version of iTunes doesn't install whatever makes iTunes be able to restore an ATV. EDIT 2: Anyone know how long the "Verifying AppleTV restore" part should take before I declare it is still a brick? EDIT 3: I simply cannot move beyond "Verifying Apple TV restore". Any ideas folks?
