What happened to Re-Volt Classic? Posted: 07 May 2019 03:11 AM PDT I remember playing Re-Volt Classic (a port of a 1999 pc game) back in 2012 maybe 2013 but now I can't find it on the AppStore. Has it been taken down or what happened? [link] [comments]
Repeat alerts on messages/iMessages Posted: 07 May 2019 02:11 AM PDT I don't exactly know in which iOS version this feature was introduced, basically when a new text message (mostly DMs) is received, the text alert rings twice(once when the message is actually received and again after few seconds). I liked the feature initially but not so much anymore. Is there any way to change that so there is no repeat on text alerts? [link] [comments]
New iPhone 6s lockscreen laggy 12.1 Posted: 07 May 2019 03:43 AM PDT Guys, I need a bit of a help here. I've bought 6s yesterday and restored it with upgrade to the latest iOS. Everything is good but swiping notifications to manage, view and others is laggy. Like the whole swipe animation just jumps and lags, it's not smooth. Even my old 5s was doing this much smoother. Can anyone confirm it's the same for you or it's my phone? Some help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 May 2019 01:11 AM PDT So first some background information: I have an iPhone 6S, running on iOS 12.2. Last saturday (May 4th) my battery died during a phone call. I charged it and went to bed. After this happened, I don't get any notifications from apps that use internet (I only get notifications from text messages & phone calls, but not WhatsApp, FB Messenger, instagram, snapchat...). I have restarted my iPhone, uninstalled and reïnstalled the apps but it doesn't work. Also, when someone sends me a message (via Whatsapp or FB-Messenger) it doesn't deliver unless I open the app. My settings are set to allow background activity. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? [link] [comments]

Video player app deleted from the App Store with false accusations Posted: 07 May 2019 08:14 AM PDT The complainant has played on their devices videos protected by copyright, and they have accused us of providing such content with our app. On March 6, we received a Notice of Compliant accusing us of broadcasting protected television channels. We responded to Apple telling them that this is not true, our app does not include or facilitate access to any type of content, it is only a video player, compatible with playlists, and with support for different video formats and network protocols, in addition of the possibility of broadcasting to Chromecast and Apple TV devices. In summary, this is an app similar to others like VLC, MX or Web Video Cast. Apple responds that they can not act as arbitrators between a third party dispute and that we have to contact the complainant to solve this issue between us. So, does Apple expect us to talk to people who are using false accusations against our application? These people have loaded protected content in our app and made screenshots, and then try to have our app deleted by falsely reporting it. Doesn't Apple examine the apps before accepting such a thing? The complainant continued to provide false evidence, such as capturing tweets from people totally unconnected to us, tweets where they comment on what they play with our app. We can not control the content, our app only plays video formats, and these videos are provided by the user. If our users play an .mp4 file, how the hell can we know what the file contains? Should also Samsung or LG be sued for copyright infringement? Their TVs can also play video files. We continued giving the necessary explanations, we even offered to Apple our technical and criminal audits, carried out by experts. Apple ignored us and kept telling us to come to an agreement with the complainant. Finally, on May 2, Apple proceeds to eliminate our application by claiming "We regret that the dispute regarding the app listed below could not be resolved amicably between the parties. We have removed your application from the App Store." I believe this opens a very unfair and dangerous precedent, that any company that does not like an application, and with false allegations, can tear down any project without being reviewed by Apple first. Does anyone know a more direct contact method with App Store to be able to resolve this situation? [link] [comments]

Does “SIM not Provisioned” equate to carrier unlocked? Posted: 06 May 2019 08:43 PM PDT Hi, I have an iPhone 4 that I'm trying to get a couple bucks for on eBay, and it seems it's worth the money to have an 'unlocked' phone. If I see this message in the about tab of settings, does this mean that there's no IMEI and there fore I could sell it as 'unlocked'? [link] [comments]
Is it possible to view my shared folder from my PC via Iphone? Posted: 07 May 2019 07:44 AM PDT I'm using vlc to view some songs and movies Ive downloaded. Is there another way so i can read some documents using my phone? [link] [comments]
Set alerts for data usage, for when I'm nearing my monthly cap? Posted: 06 May 2019 08:06 PM PDT Looks like iOS doesn't have this built in, and my carrier's app doesn't seem to have it, either. (AT&T) Can anyone suggest a third-party app that will alert me when I've used a pre-defined amount of data? [link] [comments]

Has anyone else been experiencing a lot of app crashing recently? Posted: 06 May 2019 08:55 PM PDT Nothing to major, but it definitely did put a damper on the iOS "magic" that I've been experiencing since I switched from Android. Last week the Google app crashed on me the first 7 times I tried to open it, so I rebooted the phone and it worked fine, I assumed it was a Google issue. Then a few days later the phone completely froze on the lockscreen and none of the buttons were working so I did the button combo for a reboot. Today Waze crashed in the middle of navigating...I've been on iOS 12.2 for a while but only started having problems last week. [link] [comments]

battery charge = battery health on iPhone X Posted: 07 May 2019 12:48 AM PDT I fell asleep charging my iPhone X today but somehow when I unplugged the charge stays at 91% after 49 mins being at 80% (thats when the battery saving mode was turn off by the system). Apparently the battery health was also at 91%. Now I am afraid to charge it to see if it go beyond 91%. Note that I only have this iPhone X for a few days from another user. Is it supposed to be like this or? thanks. Edit: when I have the SE last year even when the battery reaches 91% health, it would still charge up to 100%. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 May 2019 09:42 PM PDT Is there an app that 'reads' webpages aloud for me? for example when I'm driving and would like to read something, is there an app that provides text to voice feature for websites you visit? I know the iphone's Voice over works but you'd have to tap on the text for it to read. I'm looking for one that will just read the whole webpage for you. Thanks [link] [comments]
Whatever happened to Photoshop for iPad? Posted: 06 May 2019 09:58 AM PDT A major announcement occurs late last year that a full-featured Photoshop app for the iPad Pro will be released in 2019 and we've had no real updates since? Has anyone heard anything more about a release date that I may have missed? [link] [comments]

Turning off email at random hours Posted: 06 May 2019 05:17 PM PDT Is there a way to automate this? Ideally, I'd like to have my work email on my device 7am - 4pm and then have it turn off without me going into the Mail settings. My boss is a late hours worker and I'm finding myself getting stressed out whenever my phone buzzes. [link] [comments] |
