    Hey /r/jailbreak

    The first Meme Monday is now over. We are here to discuss: What went right, what went wrong, and how we will improve going forward.

    So what went right?

    • Some great memes were made

    • People had a good laugh

    • The mood was lightened up a bit

    What went wrong? From the feedback we have gotten,

    • It is very spammy, burying news and help threads

    • "Low Effort" needs to be defined better

    • The vote was not a majority of the sub

    What will change going forward?

    • Starting next Meme Monday, we will try out the use of a megathread. This means all memes must be posted in the comment section of the designated thread and any post outside the thread will be removed.

    • On Sunday, we will post an update with clearer rules as to what is considered low effort or toxic/attacking

    • As far as the original vote, there was nothing more we could have done there. We sticked the vote and left it up for a few days. If people didn't vote/didn't see it, is not something we could have prevented.

    We would love to hear your feedback (good or bad) about these changes and if you have any other ideas.

    [Discussion] Petition: If u/Applango's bounty comes through, rename the resulting Jailbreak after his brother

    u/Applango kickstarted a bounty for a current jailbreak that started at CAD 20,000; and has, thanks to a match pledge, reached CAD 216,000 as of the writing of this post. In his bounty post, the bounty initiator talks about his brother who passed away two years ago of pancreatic cancer.

    So if the jailbreak arrives as per the initiator's conditions; and the bounty comes through and makes a very lucky dev or teams of devs wealthy(ish), then that jailbreak should be named in the memory of the late brother of the man who started this already legendary bounty (provided that u/Applango consents).

    Proud to say that I made good on my (miniscule) pledge of USD 100 to the SickKids Foundation as requested by u/Applango for his match pledge to be a part of the bounty, too.

    It's a shame that everybody claimed that the site was not real.

    Next time please do better research!

    The domain is their official one and the link on the page redirects you to the domain used in the main post.

    There should be no doubt by now that the site is real!

    [Discussion] Clarification on the situation of the Jailbreak bounty

    So as you all might have seen, so many things have happened in the past hour regarding this bounty. I won't give my opinion on this but here's a sum-up of what was going on:

    ​

    • It has been proven that the website the donator originally provided is REAL, and the money isn't going to himself.

    ​

    • iCrackUriDevice tried to WARN people as fast as he could, which led him to post the video before digging more into the websites and doing more research on the domains. If you understand the situation he was in, it's completely understandable, but he just went too fast and unfortunately misinformed people.

    ​

    • The donator removed his campaign, because of all the people that believed ICU before researching themselves [*edit : which led to these ridiculous comments. I wish I screenshotted them for how horrible that was]. Awesome! You guys that commented this on the foundation's page also went too fast, just like ICU did. Being too fast is a mistake in life, I hope we all learn from it in this situation.

    You can still donate to the original Foundation if you'd like, but it won't raise the Jailbreak bounty anymore.

    PLEASE be comprehensive that NO ONE tried to be HARMFUL, both the community and the original donator. Misinformation happens even when we don't want it. Be respectful to EVERYONE - have a great day and be patient!

    [TUTORIAL] rclone on rootlessjb3 ios12

    1.Install through cydia impactor https://github.com/tigisoftware/rootlessJB3/releases latest ipa.

    2.Jailbreak (i checked all 3 options, tweaks, filza=am, isupersu)

    3.Download rclone rclone-ios-5.0-arm64 from https://beta.rclone.org/test/testbuilds-latest/

    4.Rename to rclone and copy this file into /var/containers/Bundle/iosbinpack64

    5.open filza and give execute permission to rclone

    6.ssh into device and cd to /var/containers/Bundle/iosbinpack64

    7.Type nano ent.xml

    8.Paste content of this file: https://ghostbin.com/paste/2nzdg

    or just copy paste this:

    10.Now you have working rclone inside device: /var/containers/Bundle/iosbinpack64/rclone

    you can use it from commandline putty from pc ssh, or inside terminal of filza, can load conf file, create, serve webdav, http, all functions, except mount which requires OSXFUSE so is not working.
