displaying "Welcome" screen on Apple TV help Posted: 25 Feb 2019 03:20 PM PST I am teaching a class and want a particular 'welcome' screen that I've designed to be on display on the TV screen as a place holder until I'm ready to start airplaying class material. Showing a photo from my Library only stays on the screen before popping off to blank screen. I've turned OFF screensaver and the sleep functions. What am I doing wrong? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Feb 2019 09:15 PM PST Anyone else having issues with YouTube tv not working today? Keep getting the spinning wheel. Everything else works. People on Twitter are reporting the same Issue. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Feb 2019 01:12 PM PST So my Apple TV v2 requires sign in but won't recognize my Apple ID. Is this because it's no longer supported? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Feb 2019 08:28 PM PST I just got a Samsung g q6fn and also upgraded our old Apple TV to an Apple TV 4K. I enabled frame rate matching to remove any possibility of judder. So what I've noticed is I can only get Netflix to display two refresh rates. 50 hz for British shows, and 24 hz for everything else. I'm assuming most shows on Netflix would actually be 60 hz because they are typically 60 FPS. HBO go I noticed only does 60 hz for all of their content and that includes films. Hulu and Amazon prime both seem to only show content at 24 hz. Is something messed up with my Apple TV? Or is the content from prime and Netflix only in 24 hz and 50 hz? Also, I noticed that match frame rates tool tip says some TVs can adjust frame rate automatically? I'm not sure if mine does but according to rtings.com it's judder free from all sources. I did turn off framerate matching on the Apple and checked my displays status and it reads 60hz for all content when it's off... Som I'm a little confused on what the beat option is. I'd imagine playing 30 FPS/60 hz content at 24 hz would cause some serious judder. [link] [comments] |
Is it worth getting the latest Apple TV Posted: 25 Feb 2019 12:35 PM PST I'm going to be using it primarily to connect my MacBook Pro to a 4K TV (Move-in present from my parents). I know most people are going to say its worth buying the 4K version because I have the 4K TV, but I'm trying to save some money. Is it really worth getting the latest version of the Apple TV if this is all I'd use it for. [link] [comments] |
Problems with Apple 4K Siri remote while in video. Posted: 25 Feb 2019 06:23 AM PST My Siri remote works fine to scroll through content and select something, but the second I'm in the video, pressing the touch part works poorly (as in I have to push it many times to actually get the remote to respond) for scrubbing or going forward/back 10 seconds. Also, the touch screen becomes much less responsive while paused and trying to move back/forward in a video. But, when I go back out to video selection, swiping and pushing the remote work fine. Has anyone else seen this issue? The remote is fully charged and I've restarted the ATV and repaired the remote several times. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Feb 2019 06:06 AM PST I have posted to Apple Communities about this and they point me to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200107 Which has been useless. This page too, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201664 Problem: I have my iPhone connected to the Apple tv. When the Apple tv asks me to enter a password or email, I don't get a notification for the keyboard. When I open the remote app or tv app on my phone, the keyboard doesn't pop up. I can use my remote to control the tv, menu, home, siri, etc. No keyboard. Is there a way to manually access the the keyboard? [link] [comments] |
