iPad + VPN + Netflix + AppleTV? Posted: 19 Feb 2019 12:46 PM PST I'm having trouble with this setup. I normally use a VPN to watch Netflix shows from outside my region on my iPad. That works fine. But when I try to stream this setup through my AppleTV it will just keep showing the loading icon forever. I was hoping my AppleTV would simply mirror the video playing on my iPad, but it seems it's got region settings of its own. Is that the case? I watch shows from many different countries, so changing region settings on the AppleTV every time would hardly be an option. What other options do I have? [link] [comments]
Unable to cast YouTube from MacBook to Apple TV 4th gen Posted: 19 Feb 2019 01:20 PM PST I have a 4th gen Apple TV which I bought 3 months ago. Everything was just fine these days. I work from home so I am always with a YouTube tab open on my browser (Chrome or Brave) where I am able to tab the cast icon on the YouTube video player and that's it. But today in the morning I wasn't able to see that icon on the video player. I have the devices connected to the same wifi network. But I am still trying to figure out what could be happening with my Apple TV. And btw, I don't do AirPlay. AirPlay works just fine. The problem is the cast. I don't know it is my Apple TV or my browser. Does it has happen to you? UPDATE: [link] [comments]
TV/Film Veteran Barry Diller to Apple: You're "fools" for challenging Netflix Posted: 19 Feb 2019 06:45 AM PST I love Barry Diller. Agree with him or not, the veteran TV & film executive thinks Apple execs are "fools" for starting their own streaming service and trying to compete with Netflix. The details at... ...and I'm not so sure he's wrong. [link] [comments]
Is there a TV guide or listing of what’s currently on live? Posted: 19 Feb 2019 04:39 AM PST You'd think the TV app should do that. Usually that's a starting point for turning on the TV and kicking off, but the app leaves much to be desired. [link] [comments] |
