iphone 6 not charging above 3 percent.. Posted: 05 Oct 2018 10:00 PM PDT about a month ago i smashed my phone screen badly, but everything still worked perfectly and i don't have insurance or anything so i figured id ride out my contract rather than paying out for a new one that i really cant afford right now. Fast forward to about a week back, my phone starting having charging issues, it would charge very slowly, go from 100 - 0 in a matter of minutes and generally be a pain. And now today, it's on charge but won't go above 3 percent. Itll go down to 2 occasionally if i try to use it, and back to three when i let it charge. I've tried different cable and plugs, hard resetting and deleting loads of stuff from my phone to see if its space. Battery usage shows that whatsapp uses 27 percent of my charge, which i can live with, but the rest of the percents don't add up to 100. It's more around the 50 percent mark. Could this be related to the screen being smashed? Is there anything I can do without spending money I don't have? Thank you [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Oct 2018 05:36 PM PDT Tomorrow I'm getting an iPhone 6s, and I've heard apple slows down older phones and basically kills them. Long story short: When I get my phone tomorrow should I update it to the latest software or keep it how it is? [link] [comments] |
iphone “sending” texts and not delivering, and not getting imessage notifications! Posted: 05 Oct 2018 09:16 PM PDT I have to say off the bat I'm young and pretty tech savvy, and i've tried all of the obvious here. So I was tapeing a video last week and my iphone (7 plus) just totally shut down and went black, then immediately began to start up again. Kind of like it reset itself automatically. I thought this was mostly just annoying, until I went to my messages and they were ALL gone! Then, I tried sending some, and none of them sent. EVERYTHING ELSE was normal. I assumed this was from lack of storage so I deleted a few apps and such and checked my storage and I have over 20gb free? Within less than an hour and after deleting a few apps and pictures my messages were now being received by the recipients, but on my phone they do not say delivered nor do they say they are sent at all. There's that little blue 'loading' line on top of my messages. I am receiving texts and am able to send texts, but: -I am not getting notifications on any texts -My phone is telling me that none of my texts are sending (when really, they are) -There is no delivered or read symbol, but I still receive texts -If I exit out of my imessage tab, ALL of my messages disappear! (Never heard of this one before...) So... what the heck is going on. I'm going on a vacation soon and won't be able to get to the verizon or apple store for a bit. And yes, I've tried turning my imessage on and off, turning my imessage notifications on and off, resetting my phone time and time again, and all the other basics. Also, I'm on a family plan and everyone else's phones are working perfectly fine, so I doubt it has anything to do with my carrier. [link] [comments] |
iMessage acting very strange on iPhone 7 Plus Posted: 05 Oct 2018 06:08 PM PDT Hi guys! I've been having a really strange issue over the last week or so. I have a group chat set up with my mom and aunt, both being iPhone users with iMessage activated. I also had separate conversations set up with each. First, my phone would not let me send a text to just one of them. It would go to both even if it showed just one person. Now, it can go to one person, but it just shows up as the same conversation. For example, if I texted my mom something and she replied, it will show her name. Then my aunt texts me - it shows up as her reply in the exact same conversation as my mom, but her name replaces my mom's. Only one or the other can appear in my messages app it seems. That being said, it seems to work just fine on my iPad Mini 4, with separate conversations showing. So far I've tried deleting the conversations and restarting my phone. Didn't work. Any idea what is happening here? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Oct 2018 08:50 AM PDT Hey guys, have any of you got your screen replaced by Apple on your iPhone X? Was wondering if you noticed any scratches/damage to the stainless steel band after the service. Was also wondering if the new serviced screen comes covered in plastic wrap like the way it is when you buy the phone for the first time. [link] [comments] |
iPhone SE randomly shutting off and freezing. Posted: 05 Oct 2018 03:50 PM PDT Is anyone else having issues with your SE? I'm running iOS 11.4.1 currently. I've never had a single problem with my phone, bought it new and it's never been worked on. The Battery Health section is reading 87%. I've noticed it getting warm where the battery seats, but it also has these same issues when the battery is not hot. Just trying to figure out if it's another apple screw up(like the 5s batteries) or I'm in a single boat. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Oct 2018 01:19 PM PDT My iPhone X camera lens does not have any cracks in it, but when I take a picture, it looks like it has a crack. Has this problem happened to anyone else, and is there a fix for this? The actual camera does not look cracked either and I used it about 1.5 hours ago completely fine and have not dropped it since.
