[Question] How do I restore from backup on my XS?

I backed up my old phone to my computer just before I went out and bought my XS and when I got home and went to restore my phone using the backup, it gives me the error "this software is too old". I had the most recent beta update on my old phone if that matters. Is it because I had the beta profile I can't use this backup?

The other say I updated to iOS 12.1 beta 1. When I turned my phone back on my storage was full with "other" and all my photos in my photo album have been duplicated. Anyone else experiencing these or have a fix?

[Bug] Smart Invert issue

So whenever I click the power button or if it automatically goes to sleep I see the screen going orange.

Is this normal for smart invert? Turning it off fixes the issue. This does not happen on my iPhone 6, but only on the iPhone 8.
