I've spent all day setting them up and just had one of those moments. I set up walkie talkie but my Mrs new nothing about the app. She just went for the toilet and I said over the app "you having a nice sh1t" She got the shock of her life. The scare if her life but also laughed so much. She came out toilet crying with laughter and shock. Just a magic Apple Watch moment. Easiest way to fix it is to change the time on your phone to non-daylight saving time. You can do this by either changing time zones or by setting the time manually until apple release a fix. | Nike+ Siri Bug: "Start an Outdoor Run" Posted: 06 Oct 2018 07:58 PM PDT Bug report filed with Apple. Summary: Apple Watch Nike+ edition is unable to start a running workout with Siri in the Workout app when the Nike Run Club app is not installed. Steps to reproduce:
Expected results: With all other workout types, Siri replied "OK" and immediately initiates the given workout in the workout app. Siri should start the workout, for example a 30 minute run. Actual results: With commands to start a *running* workout, Siri fails to start the workout and only opens the main screen of the Workout app. "Start a 30 minute run" results in the workout app opening, whereas "start a 30 minute bike" starts a 30 minute bike workout. When the Nike Run Club app is installed, that app is opened which is expected behavior. The stated problems occur when the Nike Run Club app is not installed. | Apple Watch Series 4 - Daylight saving bug in Australia - Reboot loop fix Posted: 06 Oct 2018 04:34 PM PDT I woke up this morning to a dead watch at 0% when it was at 70% last night before bed. We had daylight saving this morning at 2am where the clock was brought forward for an hour. The watch was stuck on a reboot loop and would not charge up or restart. I thought I had a faulty watch and was organising an express replacement. But a fellow Australian forum user pointed out this is due to a bug in the Infograph Activity complication "For everyone with their watch stuck in a reboot loop – your watch isn't faulty. I think the problem is due to a daylight savings bug. Here's how I got out of the loop during the night when I noticed the battery was draining fast: Make sure your watch has some power – charge it up. Then go to the Watch App on your iPhone. Select a watch face that is far away from the Infograph Modular face with the Activity complication. Tap on Select as current Watch Face. Wait for the watch to finish its current reboot loop. The reboot will then stop and you will land on the green charging display. Unlock the watch and you'll be at the selected screen. I've noticed that selecting Infograph Modular face with the Activity complication will cause even the Watch app on the iPhone to crash. My guess is just to wait until tomorrow, after daylight savings, for everything to work properly again." | Can’t decide between 40 and 44 Posted: 07 Oct 2018 01:49 AM PDT I have a small wrist but I always loved big screens. Had S0 42mm, S3 42mm and I went and got myself a 44mm S4 without hesitation. I returned my watch because my carrier just announced support for eSIM a day after I got it and now I'm in for a long wait (4-5 weeks) until I can buy another watch with LTE. I'm seriously considering downgrading to 40mm but I'm afraid of the idea of going smaller. Has anyone else gone down that way? Would you mind sharing your thoughts? Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

Assuming my turn off my iPhone, will the Watch be able to..... Send and receive phone calls on the same # as the iPhone, I'm assuming it'll act as an extension? Access all of my calendar and contacts data on the iCloud? Receive text messages, I read stipulations that this is limited withiot the phone? How's the phone quality? Are the earbuds that come with it any good, or is there a recommended headset/earbud? I know these are basic questions, but I've never had the watch before and have heard good things about it. I don't use my phone for much more then talking and iCloud stuff, I'm wondering if the watch could actually work as good as the phone? Today I finally bit the bullet and decided to get my Apple Watch series 3 replaced by apple. The problem was the Digital Crown. For some reason, it started getting stiffer and harder to turn. Messed around with the demo units in the actual Apple store and some had that issue but not all. They took my watch and mailed to Apple, and I am yet to so what will happen. Now, for you guys that had to mail in your watch, how was your experience like? Was it quick? Did you get your expected outcome? Did the watch come back with any damage if it didn't get fixed?
