    ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I could be the last to know this, but I accidentally discovered this when cleaning the Siri Remote. When in screensavers mode, sliding your finger across the pad, left or right, will let you skip to the next screensaver.

    Netflix ATV3

    Evening,

    On my ATV3 I am constantly finding that Netflix has a spinning red circle after I select the profile. I have restarted, reinstalled and nothing seems to fix it.

    Some times it fixes itself after a day or so but then comes back.

    Is it possible to store VLC videos in the app on my Apple TV set box?

    I know I can stream VLC videos from my iPad to my Apple TV, but I'd like to store some of those on the box itself.

    Can it be done?

    It's 4k 64GB by the way.

    ATV4K w/ Harmony Hub

    I have a rather convoluted setup. I have 5 game consoles all feeding into an AVR, which does the input switching, and then that connects to my TV. I also have a NAS running a Plex server that I use to manage my video collection. I want to swap the Shield for the ATV because of the better video quality, and control everything with my Harmony Hub and Companion remote, but so far am having very little success.

    With the Shield, I can just add a Windows PC device to the Harmony Hub config and send keyboard commands for whatever I can't access natively. This doesn't seem to work with the ATV. I can't even manage simple things, like showing the current play time on Plex, without also pausing the video at the same time.

    On the Shield, I use Kodi for a lot of my video playback, and I like to be able to access both the OSD menu, current play time window, the CodecInfo window, and also be able to adjust the audio sync up/down. I tried using the MrMC keymap editor, but it locked me in, and wouldn't even respond to things like the double press for the app switcher. It also wouldn't let me remap the keys used for like "skip forward" during the learning remote part of the tvOS settings app.

    Is there an app or anything for the ATV that will let you do something like add a Mac computer to the Hub and then be able to map some unused key (like say the "F" key) to some function? Has anyone managed to successfully get a setup similar to mine working? Before I take the ATV back because I cannot stand the Siri remote and do not want to have to have a second remote just for one device, does anyone have any suggestions?

    What does the checkmark icon on a movie info page mean

    When you go to a screen for a specific movie, there is some metadata right below the title. Most of it I understand, like age restrictions, quality subtitles etc. But what does the green circle with checkmark and "10+" next to it mean?

    Which netflix shows are in ATMOS?

    When I turn on subtitles they are placed near the middle of the screen and usually cover the actors faces. Anyone know what setting I need to change to fix this?

    I am losing "Continue Watching", "My List" hangs the app and I have to restart my Apple TV (because Apple decided we didn't need a way to force close frozen Apple TV applications)Apparently you CAN swipe an app up to force close it, but still Netflix has issues. If I pause out to take a phone call or have to exit out of what I'm watching to go to work, when I come home it literally doesn't remember the last 2 or 3 episodes I watched and I have to start over or hunt through what I watched to find it.
    It just seems like Netflix's engineers just really aren't putting any attention into the Apple TV application anymore.

    My system is an Apple TV 4th Gen (Non 4k) on latest tvOS and none of my other applications have issues.
