Turning TCL 55R615 off with AppleTV remote Posted: 11 Oct 2018 03:59 PM PDT Hello, all! I was hoping someone could help me with turning my TCL 55R615 TV off using my AppleTV remote. I am able to turn the TV on using the remote, but when I put my AppleTV to sleep my TV just says it lost the HDMI signal. Has anyone else had this issue? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Oct 2018 03:34 PM PDT So I just noticed today that the YouTube AppleTV app is displaying ads after experiencing a long period of successfully blocking ad service urls from google at the router level. Did an update get pushed or is Google using a new method for ad delivery obfuscation? [link] [comments] |
[QUESTION] Apple TV 3 or 4 for purely use of airplay? Posted: 11 Oct 2018 01:07 PM PDT Hi, Just want an Apple TV purely for airplay. I have an Apple TV 4 in my main room and solely use it for airplay and nothing els. So wondered if there is any point me paying the extra for a 4 if I won't use the extra features. Airplay will be from a MacBook and IPhone X. Thanks all [link] [comments] |
AppleTV 4K - problem. Cant get 50 or 60z to work, only 30 and down. Posted: 11 Oct 2018 11:47 AM PDT Hi, I hope someone here maybe can give me and answer, as Im not very good with picture and sound on the TV. I got a AppleTV 4K recently, and I have a Grundig Fine Arts 55 FLX 9490 tv from before.Im connecting a Belkin Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable directly from my AppleTV to my HDMI5 (as ive understand is the UHD-hdmi port on the tv). But when I choose 4K 50hz SDR(HDR and 60hz doesnt work either, but im in Europe, so 50hz would be the best?)I get a "blue tint" all over the TV, and it only shows the top left 25% of the picture. I can accept or revert the settings there.30hz and under works fine, but everything i watch(doesnt matter if its native 4k, 1080p or something else) lags. Anyone know what the problem may be? Is the HDMI-port on the tv bad? The cable? The AppleTV?Its a "rare" TV, so I havent found any relevant information, only that it supports uhd-resolution :) TV Manual, more info here! English isnt my native language, so I hope this is understandable. EDIT: I see now that the TV only supports 30hz at 4K, so my question then will be, is it possible to watch netflix/plex and so on with 4k enabled without the lag? If so, how? [link] [comments] |
Mirroring Apple TV from MacBook Posted: 11 Oct 2018 06:14 AM PDT I am currently in a hotel, so to make it easier I am using my Apple TV to mirror my MacBook to the room television so that I can watch Vue, Hulu, Netflix etc. (I do it this way to I don't have to deal with tech support adding my Apple TV DNS, etc). The issue I am having is with my extended desktop. Whenever I put my shows in fullacreen mode the screen on my MacBook goes black. Is there a way to prevent this so that I can work on my computer and airplay in full screen mode? I've played around with mission control but cc any seem to find a way. Any help would be appreciated. TL;DR. Laptop screen is black when doing a full screen airplay to the tv. [link] [comments] |
