Apple Macbook Did the Mojave upgrade on my MacBook Air today and I am getting these lines whenever I move the cursor. These lines keep moving on their own too. Is there a glitch? Has anyone else faced this? Please help. Thank you.

    What on earth is Mojave?

I've heard everyone talking about the "Mojave Upgrade" what exactly is it? I have a 2015 MacBook Air, should I get "it"?

I am going to NYC and I need help buying my first MBP

    Posted: 07 Oct 2018 07:55 AM PDT

Hi! I am going to NYC 10 days for holidays, and I would like to purchase a brand new MBP. I'd like to get the 2018 base-touchbar model but with 16Gb of RAM, instead of 8Gb.

I know I could order it via the web-page, but prefer to pay it with cash and avoid using my CC. If I go to a Apple store, do they have custom models to sell? What should I do?

    Thanks!

    Posted: 07 Oct 2018 07:04 PM PDT

Hi everyone I have a MacBook air mid 15 13 inches and since yesterday it's shutting down randomly and without warning. Also when I put it to sleep it shut down and I have to reboot it. Someone has any idea of what could be wrong. I updated to Mojave Sept 25.

Locked out of my own MacBook Pro from iCloud

    Posted: 07 Oct 2018 02:52 PM PDT

I lost my MacBook Pro earlier this year and found it but I've locked it with iCloud and don't remember the 6 digit key. I've taken it to apple with a proof of purchase in hopes of getting it unlocked. They're shipping it to engineers that can unlock it for me and will take about 2 days to do so.

Was this my best option? Before taking it to the apple store one and a half hours away, I was told by sources including a simplymac store and a senior apple advisor that they could fix it at the store and that shipping it to the "depot" is a last resort.

Mid 2012 13in MacBook pro battery.

    Posted: 07 Oct 2018 01:04 PM PDT

So I've been confused with what battery to get as replacement. I've seen other world computing sells them for 100. Apple doesn't help. Is there a good oem battery to buy? What about these eBay ones? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223081226806

    Macbook Air OS recommendation

    Posted: 07 Oct 2018 07:59 AM PDT

    Hello!

I have a mid 2011 macbook air and fully realized how "old" it is when I could not download Mojave. It got me thinking about how slow my overall computer has been running lately. Startups are taking a while, waking up is taking longer than usual, the computer has been running hot with minimal things working, etc. This got me thinking about maybe reinstalling an older version of MacOS so my computer isn't pushing itself just to run the OS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but through my research I found that El Capitan would be the best without loosing too many features as this update focused on optimizing the user experience.

    Two questions:

    1) What are your recommendations for the best version to install. This is granted that I can find it online of course. :)

    2) Would I be missing out on too many security features with "downgrading" myself?

    Thank you!
