| Posted: 26 Jul 2018 10:22 AM PDT Just wanted to warn all X users to be careful with their cameras. I don't remember doing anything, but my FaceID stopped working last week, and my back camera somehow cracked yesterday, so I can't take pictures anymore. Without AppleCare it's apparently $549 to fix. I read an article that said the camera cracking for no reason is becoming increasingly common. I was a huge fan of the X until this happened. | Auto-Dimming and phone performance throttled issue Posted: 26 Jul 2018 09:22 AM PDT I have been in low 90s degree weather. I toggled and had off auto brightness and turn tone off to see if it can remediate the issue. No luck. Once the dimming happens, the phone slows down immediately. The tier 1 cellular connection is strong and in a less densed area. Low power mode is definitely off to prevent intentional under-clocking. Apps were lagging to switch to each other. Both happened on iOS 11.3.1 and iOS 12 Public Beta 3. The restart of the the phone helps but the glass screen seems to be extra sensitive with the heat, and immediately heats up if playing a game like Pokémon Go or recording video. Was also in the shade for majority of the time. Low 90s in weather. No GPS map apps were in the background (except pogo). Anyone have any similar issue of this? [link] [comments]  |

| Wrong time when switching apps Posted: 26 Jul 2018 01:53 PM PDT Whenever I switch to a new app or open one for the first time I notice that the time is left over from before. For example as the app is loading it will say 11am when really it's 3pm then the app finally loads and it will change. Does this happen to anyone else? It's highly annoying and has scared me multiple times at first glance because I think it is a completely different time than it is. [link] [comments]  |

When I put my phone on silent by sliding the ringer button off, I still hear my text tone. If I get a notification for anything else on my phone, it is silent and just vibrates. However, the text tone plays even on silent. This is extremely annoying, as I am tired of hearing my phone ding at work. Does anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 26 Jul 2018 08:07 AM PDT My first post here - looking for your guys' opinions. I was recently watching a video by a YouTube reviewer who was unboxing an original, still-sealed, iPhone 2G. Apparently they sell well into the tens of thousands of dollars on eBay. Given that the iPhone X is arguably the rebirth of the iPhone, do you foresee the same degree of appreciation with it? As difficult as it would be to buy one and not open/use it, if it's a worthwhile investment to do so, I want to do it before Apple discontinues them. Let me know what you guys think. The turn by turn isn't updating properly to let me know when my next turn is coming, the location of my vehicle on the map is way off as well. Anyone else having maps problems? I walked out with the phone in the case out of the Sprint store and yet today I took the case off to clean it and there were scratches. I've read online that this is a problem. Anyone else?
