Could I swap a broken Apple Watch S2 42mm Screen with a screen from an iCloud Locked S2 42mm? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:20 AM PDT Would this be possible? Would the screen work and would my Apple Watch then be iCloud locked since I swapped the screen with an iCloud locked Apple Watch? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:49 AM PDT Hey guys, My Nomad leather band finally just broke after almost two years. I can't seem to find anything for the 42 MM Gold Series 1 at this point. I'd love to replace it with another Nomad strap. Anyone have any hints on where to find one? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Reasonable price for a used Series 3? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:50 AM PDT So after buying a golf GPS watch I realized that the Apple Watch 3 could fill the same functions with the benefit of being able to using it day-to-day aswell, so now I am in the market looking for a watch, definetly a used ones as to cut the costs between selling my current and buying a new. Question is, what is reasonable price for a series 3? On a buy/sell site popular in Sweden most seem to go for about 300€, occasionally dipping down to 250€. However, on here it seems like people are getting much better deals. What should I try to get one for and could anyone point me in any direction if you know a cheaper way to get it? Summary of weekly/monthly distances Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:40 AM PDT Hey fellow Watchers! I'd really like to have a weekly/monthly summary of the distances I've walked and ran. I can't seem to find anything within the Activity app as well as Health. There must be some way to view these stats, right? Do you know of any apps that can do that or can you just tell me where to look? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:04 AM PDT Has anyone heard anything yet about a possible release of a Series 4? I'm holding off getting the 3, I'm honestly debating on what model to get actually. If I should just wait for the 4 to come out and get the 3 for price reduction..? Or just go with a newer model. I haven't really heard anything and were approaching fall which is normally when apple releases. Let me know your thoughts, thanks. [link] [comments]
“Hey Siri” reminders problem. Anyone find a fix? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 05:19 AM PDT "Hey Siri" is absolutely wonderful for so many things for the Apple Watch, but last night I ran into a bug and cannot find a fix! I created a list in my reminders titled "Shopping List" and when I try to add something to it with my watch I say "Hey Siri, add batteries to my shopping list" I get a response "You do not have a shopping list, but I can create one for you using your iPhone. When I click continue it brings up my shopping list on my iPhone and lets me add anything I want to add. I may also add that I can actually see my shopping list on my Apple Watch by manually going to it, and it recognizes all other commands. If I ask Siri what is on my shopping list on my watch it will retrieve my entire list and read to me everything on it, but when I try to add something to it, I just get the same response everytime. It will not work I've tried re syncing, shutting it off and on, making sure my reminder settings are correct etc. Nothing works. I've found like 8 Apple forums that are all 1-2 years old and Apple only responds with the same generic response that does not fix the issue, so I know I'm not alone. Has anyone found a fix? I've only had my Apple Watch for about 2 weeks and just discovered this last night. All of the 3rd party shopping list apps are ridiculous and want a subscription, or categorize etc. way too much. I just want to make a list! Lol [link] [comments]
Is there a way to automatically share HRV and HR readings with a friend? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:58 AM PDT Apple won't let you share your Health data directly to another user if I have this right? I was thinking though that perhaps there is some 3rd party app that can collect the data that would then let me share it? [link] [comments]
Better multiple watch support in watch app. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:47 AM PDT I wish there was an easy way to have the settings, watch faces, and everything else be applied to 2 or more watches. When I add an app to one of my watches I have to go in again and install it to the second one when I wear it. Same thing with watch faces, settings for apps, and so on. [link] [comments]
Charging Apple Watch from Japan with adapter from Germany Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:44 AM PDT I have bought a watch on eBay from a guy who actually imported his Apple Watch from Japan. Good thing is, the watch works and it simply has a USB charger. But my problem is that the adapter doesn't work here in Germany because it is of this type and here in Germany we have those. I am currently charging this watch via USB to my Thunderbolt Display, but I would really prefer to charge my watch with my apple USB adapter that I have from my iPhone or iPad for instance. Is that possible without destroying anything because of a difference in Ampere or Volt for example? (sorry I don't know a lot about this topic) [link] [comments]
Music/Audio controls for YouTube? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 07:46 PM PDT Never posted in this chat, always lurked, but about a month ago, I noticed that my Apple Watch stopped displaying audio controls when playing a YouTube video. I use YouTube a lot, and it's pretty much my primary music streaming service, so this has become even more and more annoying over time. I don't know if this was YouTube's doing, or if this was Apple, or if this is just a software glitch / error on my end. Is there a way to return these settings, or is there another app that allows you to get these controls back? Series 3, 32mm aluminum, 4.3.2 watchOS. Thanks again. [link] [comments]
Music won’t sync from iPhone to watch Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:01 AM PDT I downloaded some music from youtube to my iTunes. I have successfully synced the songs to my iPhone and can play them from my library. They also appear on my iTunes music library on my brother's phone. In the past, I added these songs to a playlist and synced them to my apple watch using the Apple watch app on my iPhone. Recently, the songs got removed and after trying multiple times to sync the songs, I am unable to. Is there any way to get them back on my watch? [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:04 AM PDT Hi guys, It has been over two weeks since it crossed my mind that I should get a smartwatch. I know close to nothing about smartwatches. So bare with me for a moment. My vision: - I am back to running and I want to track my improvements. This will be one of the primary reasons to use the smartwatch; - I am trying to do more outdoor activities, and notifications on the watch can be pretty useful; - Additionally, I think the smartwatch will nag be about doing more physical activity; - Useful to have the reminders/tasks at hand (can I use Asana with it? Would be a major pro); and - "Social etiquette". I receive a lot of e-mails/slack messages (does slack work on the AppleWatch?) throughout the day. I have developed the bad habit of always check my phone (which annoys myself, my SO, friends, etc.). I have figured that a quick glance at the AppleWatch won't be so hurtful (I know, I shouldn't be that 'attached' to my e-mails/slack, but running two businesses is not that easy! But I love it! Some questions: - Can I go for a walk in the park or run a few K with my AppleWatch without my iPhone and still be able to track my progress? - While in the above mentioned scenario, can I still receive e-mail/sms/slack notifications (remember, iPhone not nearby)? - Can I "download" music to Spotify (on the watch) and use it without the Phone nearby? - Can I pair a regular Bluetooth Headset with the AppleWatch and answer calls without my iPhone nearby? I would welcome if you could provide with additional tips or recommendations you feel that could be of use. Cheers! G. [link] [comments]
Strange issue with S2 watch & modular face Posted: 30 Jul 2018 10:07 PM PDT Last several weeks or so I've noticed that the modular face on my S2 (watchOS 4.3.2) will show blank data for temperatures and display that as dashes vs numbers. If I swipe to change the watch face and then back to modular temperature data is displayed correctly. It is paired with an iPhone 6S+ (iOS 11.3.1). This morning I unpaired the watch and paired again and restored the watch from backup. Watch is still exhibiting the same occasional behavior. Any suggestions how to fix this? [link] [comments]

[Question] Best bang-for-the-buck apple watch? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 08:31 PM PDT looking to get back into the smartwatch game since I'm missing my OG Pebble a bit lately just looking for something snappy, fairly budget but still has all fairly useful day-to-day functionality. (im still only a high school student so i don't wanna spend heaps on something thats bound to be damaged eventually, as much as i'd like to) im just not exactly sure what i should look for at all, so any help is greatly apreciated :) edit: should add im from AUS [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 07:38 PM PDT Has anyone used the online training log RunningAhead? I use to train with a Garmin and it had a way to connect your garmin connect account and their log. You could sync all the data seamlessly. Just curious if anyone has figured out how to do it with Nike+ app? [link] [comments] |
