| Posted: 07 Jun 2018 01:43 PM PDT I just dropped my IPhone X today for the first time. I've had many iPhone models before but this was the first time I ever dropped one. I'm using the Apple rubber back case and a copter screen protector and it just fell from pocket height onto the sidewalk and my screen got 3 cracks going across the whole screen, they are really thin but still visible :/ I don't have any AppleCare package because I couldn't afford it. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the glass alone or is the glass and display actually one piece on this model? This just makes me really sad.. 😔 [link] [comments]  | ||

I always start my day with 100% and its usually around 80-85% around noon then sometime around 2-3pm it drops drastically to well below 50%. Today I picked up my new baby, a silver 256gb iPhone X. It's been an amazing device to use and I am so happy with my decisions. Already the experience is so much better. | AC+ or Squaretrade for my Personal Situation Posted: 07 Jun 2018 02:15 PM PDT To give some background, in the 10 years I have owned a smart phone, I have never once shattered a screen, lost my device, or broken it. On the other hand, I've also never paid $1330 for a phone (including tax). I've always been an android user so my phones at the most cost $700 or so – and this is quite the price jump for me. I have a screen protector and case but I always use slim tpu cases as I don't like to add bulk to my phones. I want to purchase a plan since if I broke this phone, I can't afford to replace it. As a result, I feel like the best option for me is square trade because it has the cheapest up front cost, and the likelihood that I will use it is slim to none but it offers some level of protection/safety. Square trade is $129 to Apple's $199 for AC+. Is there anything you think I might be missing in my logic and why it's worth it to pay an additional $80 for AC+? [link] [comments]  | ||

Can someone explain the difference between a shutdown (Vol up, Vol down, Side, "Slide to Power Off"), and a Force Restart (Vol up, Vol down, Side hold until Apple logo)?
