I thought I had Sleep Apnea but it’s a dead arm Posted: 06 Jun 2018 05:58 AM PDT So for months my Apple Watch has been giving me alerts for high heart rate notifications (roughly once per week) during the night. I looked online and it said this could be sleep apnea, I asked my girlfriend and she confirmed that I do snore sometimes. After trying every sleep apnea treatment, except a CPAP machine, they all did nothing! I was still getting alerts. Because of this I've also lost weight and began cycling to work and moved to a plant based diet to try and combat it. Last night after a month of no alerts, the Apple Watch gave me a heart rate reading above 130 for 2 hours during my sleep. This infuriated me until I remembered that I woke up during the night at the same time, with a dead arm. I frequently wake up with a dead arm because I lay on my side. I'd never thought anything of it until today, I've just used my hand to cut off circulation in my arm and my heart rate reading shot up to the exact BPM that it's normally at during the night. To reinforce this, I use a sleep tracking app that detects my movement while I sleep and after every heart rate incident it shows that I have moved in bed and the heart rate has returned to normal. This will be me moving my arm because the dead arm has woken me up. I hope this post finds someone who experienced the same thing! [link] [comments]
Please Apple, add the ability for my watch to tell me when I left my phone somewhere. Posted: 05 Jun 2018 12:33 PM PDT They could easily add it so when the watch looses Bluetooth connection with the phone. It will give 3 quick vibrates with a little notification or something. I would really love this feature so I never have to worry about leaving my phone at a restaurant or something ever again. [link] [comments]

watchOS 5 Podcast app — Playback on Series 1 Posted: 06 Jun 2018 08:39 AM PDT I was ecstatic to hear that Apple Podcasts was coming to the Apple Watch at this year's WWDC, but I'm a bit unsure about how the app actually works. For those of you who have experimented with the app, can you explain to me how it works on Series 1? Apple mentioned that it would be streamable on Series 3 watches via WiFi or LTE. For those of us on Series 1 Apple Watches or watches without cellular or WiFi connectivity, are we limited to control of playback on iPhone? I've used a number of apps on Apple Watch (i.e., Watchcast, WatchPlayer, Workouts++) that allowed me to transfer individual episodes to the Apple Watch for offline playback on the watch (i.e., without the iPhone being near). My ideal situation would be automatic transfer of downloaded episodes to my Apple Watch, so that I can use it in tandem with my AirPods when I go on a run and leave my phone behind. Can anyone confirm or deny that this feature is featured in watchOS 5? [link] [comments]

Best place to get an Apple Watch? eBay? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 06:51 AM PDT Hey all, Looking to buy an Apple Watch and I saw that eBay has a 20% off all purchases, which would make the series 3 around $260. Does anyone here have experience purchasing one off of eBay? Do you recommend it?? Thanks [link] [comments]

Just curious if the Bank of America app works for anyone else? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 06:14 AM PDT This app hasn't worked for me in such a long time and I miss being able to check my balance. I figured at some point it will get fixed but alas I still can't check my balance with it [link] [comments]

Can i play music on Apple Watch, if I don’t have Apple Music subscription? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 05:17 AM PDT I'm thinking about buying an Apple Watch, however this is my dealbreaker.. I don't have an Apple Music subscription, and I don't plan on getting one, instead I have all my music downloaded onto my phone.. Can I play my downloaded music through my Apple Watch, or can I make it play on my phone by using the watch? [link] [comments]

Does anyone else intuitively flick their wrist in an attempt to scroll a notification? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 12:52 AM PDT Does anyone else intuitively flick their wrist in an attempt to scroll a notification? I feel like this is a no brainer for Apple. Its an easy gesture. It feels intuitive and keeps me hands free. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jun 2018 11:29 PM PDT Hi guys, I need a hand. I would like to restore the Apple Watch 3 series to zero, but at the same time I would not want to lose all the data of these months on training, heartbeat, calories, etc. (almost all the data collected in the Health app) and the challenges reached. Is there a way to save all this information and find it again when you pair the iPhone again? [link] [comments] |
