Favourite ios text adventures? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 06:04 AM PDT I just finished Hadean Lands and would love to find some more interactive fiction/text games. What are some of your faves? Some of mine: - For a Change (I love puzzles that take full advantage of a text-based interface) - Counterfeit Monkey (linguistic puzzles!) [link] [comments]
Alternative to TouchArcade for seeing new release iOS games? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 07:36 AM PDT To piggyback off another post today, for years I've used TouchArcade for one reason, and one reason only. To go to their 'New Release' section and see all the new games posted that were coming out each day. But after their new (IMO) crap website redesign, it doesn't appear that many people post on there anymore. So my question to you all is, what are some other good sources for checking 'daily' on all the new iOS games that are being released into the environment? [link] [comments]

Are there any sports games with a franchise mode that allow for trades, fantasy drafting, etc? Posted: 06 Jun 2018 09:16 AM PDT My favorite game of all time was Tony LaRussa Baseball II for PC. It was the first game that allowed you to do a "fantasy draft", edit players, and trade with other teams. I would pay good money to be able to play this game on my iPhone, but I don't think it is possible. Does anyone know of any games for iOS (could be any sport) that offer some of these features? [DEV] Just Released First IOS Game Posted: 06 Jun 2018 09:42 AM PDT Hey all, just released my first ios game Sw|tch Blayd (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sw-tch-blayd/id1390261115?mt=8). It's a pretty standard infinite runner with some fun mechanics. It's free and available to play offline, so I'd love to get some feedback on it. Cheers! [link] [comments]

Is there a way to check in which country a soft launched game is available? Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:53 PM PDT If there is no official announcement for a game but it is available on the googleplay store, is there a way to check which country the game is out for? [link] [comments]
What's your opinion of the TouchArcade redesign? Posted: 05 Jun 2018 01:27 PM PDT Personally, I don't care for it. I liked being able to go to toucharcade.com and see a full, chronological list of all news and review posts. Now, on the desktop, the front page only shows a selection of news articles, and I have to go to the News section to make sure I'm not missing anything. (On mobile, the front page appears to show the full news feed; no idea why it works there but not on the desktop). I also don't care for the cropped screenshots and shorter post excerpts in the newsfeed; I feel like the old design showed more information without having to click through to the full article. It's also a drag to have to scroll down to see new content; with the new design, almost the entire screen is filled with what I guess are "featured" articles that rarely change. Ordinarily, I like it when sites I often read revamp their design, and I basically never find myself wishing it would go back the way it was. I think this is a clear step backward, though; it's annoying and more time-consuming to have to click around between several different pages to check for new content. [link] [comments]

If I Enjoyed [x] I Should look at [y] Posted: 05 Jun 2018 12:16 PM PDT Hello all, I apologize for the repetitiveness of these types of posts. I have searched this subreddit a myriad of times and haven't had much success. I am hoping that some users would be able to recommend games similar to that of the game "Nobodies". For those who have not played the game, if you like point and click type puzzle games, this one was really interesting to play. You're job in the game is similar to that of a "cleaner", where you eliminate and destroy evidence of crimes in various locations. One aspect of the game that I enjoyed was that it was possible to make incorrect choices. If anyone has any gaming suggestions, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. [link] [comments]

Strain Tactics. A great rts you may have overlooked. Posted: 05 Jun 2018 06:53 PM PDT I found this game on accident two days ago. It's an rts that released last year. Its pretty incredible. At first it's seems very complicated and takes some time to get used to. Once I played for a few hours, I was hooked. The game is complex but not overly so. You fight in real time against infected people that have mutated into monsters. One system in play is that your squad members can become infected. If you don't take de con pills or use the shower on the helibase, they'll turn into a monster. You also use the helicopter constantly, from choosing where to drop, and also swapping to your weapon systems to provide close air support. Each squaddie has two personality traits which dictates how they act. Later you can unlock special units with more resolve and better traits. There's a ton of weapons and items to kit your guys with. The game is pretty hard if you're not careful. Though if someone dies you can clone them, as long as you collect their body in a body bag and bring it back to base. TLDR: It's an awesome game. Definitely worth the asking price. Here's the trailer. [link] [comments]
