MacBook Pro 2017 logic board dead. Will they replace my computer? Posted: 25 May 2018 12:19 AM PDT Hi all, My MacBook Pro, still under warranty, recently died and I could not turn it on anymore ( I assume the logic board is fried :( ). I do not have access to any Apple Store at the moment. I am planning to visit one once I get back to the US. Will they charge me for it? I am a poor college student and I take great care of the device. [link] [comments] |
Emails missing from Mail app folders. Posted: 24 May 2018 07:47 PM PDT macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 I've discovered recently that numerous mailboxes within the default Mail app are not displaying emails that I have moved from my inbox. In fact they are empty. I have a gmail account which is my primary email address, and while logged into the gmail account directly I can display all emails in the folders. Other mailboxes display emails dated back from the creation of my gmail account and are working perfectly. I don't understand what the problem is. I have tried rebuilding the mailboxes and 'Synchronise 'Google'' options with no results. What other steps should I try to solve this issue. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Can I remove my Photos library from my Mac without removing it from iCloud and other synced devices? Posted: 24 May 2018 02:37 PM PDT This seems like it should be a basic question but I can't seem to find a conclusive answer on this. Situation: I have 30,000 photos on my iPhone, synced to iCloud, and 10 or so shared albums. I have an aging Macbook Air that is running out of storage space. I don't use the Photos app on my Mac, ever. Can I simply stop syncing my iCloud photos to my Mac to free up space without effecting my photos in iCloud or on my iPhone? Thanks. :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2018 10:49 AM PDT Running 10.13.4. SMB daemon is crashing every few hours, with no common factors and seemingly randomly. Clients are no longer able to connect to share after the crash. Only a system reboot would fix the issue. Mix clients of Sierra, High Sierra, and Windows computers. Anyone else experiencing this? Apple support not very helpful up to this point. [link] [comments] |
Sync people from photos across devices? Posted: 24 May 2018 08:29 AM PDT Is this still not an option because of Apple's privacy policy? What's the point of having 6 different devices where each single device needs to analyze people in the photos app independently? Will this every change? [link] [comments] |
