Posted: 13 Apr 2018 07:28 AM PDT Hey /r/iPhoneX, After many years of being an Android user, I decided to try a different approach to the smartphone market. The iPhone X is the first iPhone that has got caught my eye. I decided to give it a shot and after having it for a few weeks there is something about this phone that I really don't understand. How on earth is the battery life so freaking good? I can use my phone constantly for hours and the battery barely takes a hit. I don't know how reliable the battery stats are, but according to it I have used my phone for 7 hours and I'm at 70%? Browsing Reddit, reading articles, Snapchat, camera, texting, etc. What the actual... In comparison, my Pixel XL would be dead by now. iOS is very well optimized alongside the A11 chip. | How to use the IphoneX while driving and Using an Armband for exercising? Posted: 13 Apr 2018 07:14 AM PDT So my wife got me the iphone X for Christmas and I returned it within a week. I am currently on the iphone 6. Works fine, but feel like I could use a bit of an upgrade. Wife bought me the 8 (I keep telling her to stop buying me phones, but she hasn't lol). While the 8 works MUCH better for my needs with logins and access to the control center, the X is just so beautiful. In some ways I want to go back to the X, but feel like I just can't get it to work for 2 main reasons. 1) I driving 20+ hours a week for work. I HAVE to use my phone while driving. PLEASE for the love of god, don't get started on the "Don't ever ever ever ever use your phone while driving" debate. It's simply not realistic, nor even REMOTELY dangerous for me to use my iphone 6/8. 1 touch, everything else hands free. The problem was that I couldn't get the X to unlock while driving. That was 80% of the reason I returned it alone. I'm hoping this subreddit might have some insight about this? Any ideas/ways to make this work? 2) I run and exercise frequently and I change between different music sources (Youtube, Pandora, Iheart Radio, etc.). With the 6/8 I could log in (with finger print ID), while still running/exercising, make changes and never slow down. With the X, I had to stop my run, remove the phone and armband from my arm, point it at my face, make changes and replace the armband. Entering a password while running wasn't possible. | Posted: 13 Apr 2018 05:30 AM PDT Okay, it's that special time in someone's life where they get to upgrade their phone. I'm leaving behind my note 4. It actually still runs well and being able to change my battery is an extraordinarily underrated feature. I just got an appletv 4k though for free, and I am Def feeling the apple bug. There are 2 options that caught my eye. A brand new iphone X, which is the iPhone I've been waiting for, for years, and a used 6s plus on swappa. Used 6s plus goes for near 300 now (at 64gb) and will get at least 2 more years of updates. That's a pretty good deal, espicially with being able to change the battery for 30 through apple. I think of it this way, if I get another 2 years, it's like spending 165 a year. Then there is the X. This thing looks beautiful. I use bluetooth headphones anyway so bt5.0 is a big plus. I hear the speakers are amazing. Sure it's 1,000 dollars, but if we get 5 years of updates, that's like 200 a year. Not too far off from the 6s plus deal. My question for you, Reddit: is the iPhone X all its cracked up to be? Any awkward snags you found after buying that are worth knowing about? Last but not least, I love darkmode. Is there a way to browse safari in dark mode? How about the reddit app or the Kindle app? [link] [comments]  | ||

Later turns out it was locked to AT&T and the payments weren't complete. I tried calling AT&T and requested them to unlock the phone but since I didnt have an account with them they couldnt help me out. Are there any reliable iphone imei unlocking websites out there? I ended up wasting my money on iphoneimei.net which was a complete scam! Would really appreciate any good leads on this [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 12 Apr 2018 05:20 PM PDT I got my iphone X recently, have ordered like 5 cases off amazon and they all are pretty garbo.. the sides are loose fitting, they come out of the box scuffed, cut outs are funky, or are just super cheap feeling. I'm looking into a higher-end case that'll last and not feel like garbo, any companies to keep in mind? Currently looking into Mous and Native Union. I really wished those silver frame+clear back cases off amazon were good quality, they look so nice :( P.S Extra brownie points if they can stick a pop socket! I've never owned one but the iPhone X is too big to one hand for me so I'll probably try one out. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 13 Apr 2018 05:59 AM PDT Hey guys, My phone slid off a toilet paper dispenser while I was blowing my nose at the gym. I can't believe how much damage a drop of a foot can do but what's done is done. I do not have AppleCare but my Wells Fargo card insures me up to 600 dollars. Problem is I can't find a price for both front and back. I see a front screen is 279 and all other damage is 549. It must be a joke that it'd be expected that I pay 830 dollars for a small crack on the front and cracks that aren't even to the top of the back (seems like back glass is layered?
