| iPhone 6 Plus - Connectiivty Issues - Save me! Posted: 25 Mar 2018 10:58 PM PDT So the issue is Wifi related - let me just preface this by saying there's nothing wrong with our home network. Other devices work just fine. Also, no problems when using my mobile network. In short, I have issues using Chrome, reddit and Twitter (these are the apps I use predominantly) getting prompts that range from 'content not displaying because of DNS issues ie check your connectoin' or stuff like 'can't reach reddit.' I've cleared my cache, restarted the phone innumaerable times, I've reset the network settings, I've reset ALL settings and I've recently done a full facotry reset and reconfigured the phone from scratch to try and solve this, but I'm still running into the same issue. I just honestly don't know where to go from here. To make matters worse the problem seems to be intermittent: Sometimes things work fine. Sometimes I can use Chrome, but reddit will be out of commition or vice versa. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Edit: OS is updated to latest version along with all apps [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Mar 2018 10:29 PM PDT iPhone 7+ When I open a new text and start typing a name from my contacts, a list of suggestions comes up, which includes contacts I don't even have saved in my phone anymore, or who's name has since been changed. I will post a screenshot to hopefully help explain. For example: I often text contact "Brad". When I open a text and start typing B-r-a... Contacts "Brad's Mom" and "Bras" appear below his name as suggestions. "Bras" contact was delete a year + ago, and "Brads Mom" contact name was updated to something completely different, say "Susan Smith". Does anyone know how to stop these suggestions from appearing? I'm afraid of tapping the wrong name on accident and sending something meant for my boyfriend to his mother cringe 🙈 [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Mar 2018 09:26 PM PDT So, I'm not really even sure what to say this is other than my battery is lying to me and it really only does this when I go running. (Doubt if it's related but it's a huge issue because I run by myself really late at night) Basically, I always make sure my phone is charged up to at least 75% before I'll go for run and the only thing I'll use on my phone is Spotify. And it never fails that within 30 minutes of me being out running my battery will say it's at about 30% and then after another couple minutes it'll say it's at 10%. Then it shuts off and I have to come home early. After I come home and plug my phone in and turn it on (like tonight) it says it's at 55%. I have no clue what the problem is but I definitely need to fix this ASAP. Anyone have any idea what it could be and how to fix it? [link] [comments]  |

| Should I change my battery yet? (Charge fluctuations) Posted: 25 Mar 2018 06:28 PM PDT Soooo... I have an iPhone 7 turned a year old two months ago. Considering how badly screen response is at times as well as it holding a charge I've been using "Battery Health" to monitor how well it's doing... The charge fluctuates between 97% and 94% capacity with a low of 85% of max charge... see screenshot... Considering that Apple offers a discount for battery swaps until the end of the year... Should I go for it now or wait a little? As I'm not sure how severe the wear or my battery is considering it's age, as the replacement may be at the same level by the time the discount expires if I do so now..... Thanks! | Posted: 25 Mar 2018 04:47 PM PDT Hi guys, So my iPhone 7 fell a few months ago. I replaced the screen with a new one (non oem). All was fine until the new (non oem) screen cracked as well and the colour reproduction was just so bad I decided I might as well have the original screen on the phone since it's also cracked and has better colour reproduction. I succesfully put the original screen back on and a few weeks after I started having issues with the screen itself so I took it off and put the cracked non oem screen back on. I ordered new (non oem) screens and I've tried about three different screens but different suppliers and all of them don't even display. It's like the phone is on but the displays just refuse to show anything. All three screens from the different manufacturers can't all be faulty can they? or is there something I could do to make the screens work? It seems the only working screen that gets recognised is the first non oem screen I put on it and the original screen. Sorry for the long post, If you have any questions I'll answer them below. | Can’t text in a certain group chat Posted: 25 Mar 2018 04:25 PM PDT Hi I recently broke my iPhone 6 and was using my MacBook to text people with my Apple ID email. I just got an iPhone 7 and now after leaving and rejoining a group chat I can't text. I can still see new messages from other people in the group but I can type or do anything not even leave the group. I've tried: having a friend kick and re add me multiple times Restarting my phone Turning iMessage off then back on Turning group messaging off then back on Any suggestions are appreciated [link] [comments]  |

So, I notice I may not hear from multiple people for a long amount of time before suddenly, my phone starts going off with a bunch of texts from said people.
