[Tip] Anyone who is experiencing an issue where you cannot install and update apps or sign into the AppStore here is the fix Posted: 07 Feb 2021 09:42 AM PST [written from IOS 11.4.1] This issue is caused by oscp.apple.com being blocked in the host files. For some reason these can be blocked and the appstore will still work, but for some other unknown reason removing them will fix this issue. I have no idea why but in my experience i found running host cleaner will fix the AppStore issues. However, this is temporary fix because evidently whatever adds these will re add them back. The fix is to find out what apps are blocking oscp.apple.com in your host files. I found that most major tweaks do not block this address. In fact i found that it is unc0ver blocking this. Unc0ver has an option that is on by default called. |Disable certificate revokes| this is what is adding oscp.apple.com to the host file. I do not have extensive knowledge but in my personal experience this option does not block revokes anyway. I still have had 3rd party certs revoked. However if you need this option you can use host cleaner to temporarily fix it. To permanently fix it, Disable this option and run host cleaner and then re jailbreak, everything should work now. anyone on ios 11 who needs to install apps can use AltServer and AltServer patcher, this will install uncover and then you can use reprovision to autosign this for for you. So far this is the only thing i found will 100 percent fix it. ​ TLDR: Permanent fix : untick Disable Revokes in unc0ver Temporary fix: run host cleaner or delete oscp.apple.com from your host files. submitted by /u/Pokemoncrusher1 [link] [comments]
