Cisco AnyConnect 4.4 wont connect Posted: 04 Feb 2018 08:08 PM PST Has anyone experienced issues with the VPN client not connecting on command. After clicking to Connect, the connection asks for Username and Password, it then changes status to "Hostscan status idle" and another time for "Hostscan is waiting for another scan" after this, the status changes to "Login denied. Login Unsuccessful. Please contact your administrator". I've made multiple changes related to SSL certs in the Keychain but no luck. Any help will be appreciated. macOS 10.13.2 Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 4.4.03034 [link] [comments]
Spaces: best uses as a developer? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 02:18 AM PST So, I've been using my MBP for about 9 months now, and love it. I'm a Visual Studio developer, so I have parallels for VS and SSMS, but I've managed to move nearly everything else of my workflow over to Mac native apps. I love it. So far, however, I've not yet got into spaces. I love the idea, but every time I try it, I tend to get mixed up and annoyed. I work with the MBP 15" screen, and 2x 24" high DPI screens, one either side. Anyone have similar setups and could share how you tend to use spaces in their development work? [link] [comments]
Trackpad scrolling performance affected by Preference panel Posted: 05 Feb 2018 02:18 AM PST Trying to figure out why scrolling with trackpad became jerky and laggy on High Sierra recently. Turns out having the Preferences -> Trackpad panel open boosts scrolling performance. Scrolling is smooth while that window is open, but closing or hiding Preferences slows the performance down again. Anyone else notice this? I would blame switching between integrated/gpu, but playing movies or such should have the same effect. I'm keeping that Preference panel open in space 2 for the time being, but would like a better solution to keep the good scrolling behaviour.. [link] [comments]
Switching between Spaces opens Notification Center Posted: 05 Feb 2018 01:36 AM PST Hello everyone I got a new MacBook Pro on 10.13.3 and have a very strange issue I did not have with my previous Mac: I set option+ArrowLeft and option+ArrowRight to switch between my spaces (under Keyboard->Shortcuts in the Settings app). Sometimes when I switch between spaces it will open Notification Center and sometimes even reset my mouse cursor to the top right of the screen. I just can't figure out why this is happening. I tried using ctrl+arrows to switch spaces, I disabled all notification center shortcuts (both mousepad and keyboard ones), I tried closing Spectacle but nothing helped. Does someone here have an idea what could be the issue here? Some details about my Setup: MacBook Pro 13'' with Touchbar, 2 Dell DP Monitors connected to it, Wireless Apple Keyboard, Logitech MX Master mouse, Satechi Thunderbolt dongle [link] [comments]

App Store Won't Let Me Download High Sierra Posted: 04 Feb 2018 11:31 AM PST Hello everybody , This is a similar problem to an earlier post from today. So, the App Store won't let me download High Sierra or el Capitan. Any ideas? Why might this be and what can I do about it? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Feb 2018 02:57 PM PST Just updated to High Sierra from Sierra, and three pdf engine seems broken. Both Preview and Skim, which uses apple's pdfkit, shows pdf's that are blurry (Acrobat is fine). Is there a fix for this problem? [link] [comments]
GNOME 3 shell/KDE on macOS (2018)? Posted: 04 Feb 2018 08:59 AM PST Any hacks to install GNOME 3 shell / KDE plasma (or KDE4) on macOS these days? There are some old tutorials from 2003 but those don't work anymore, obviously. https://static.daniweb.com/attachments/0/Picture_3.png (Like this). [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Feb 2018 12:28 AM PST Apple said they slow down iPhones but they don't slow down Macs. That's a total lie, since updating to 10.13.3 from 10.1..2 my macbook pro has slowed down! I'm making a video about it tonight, I hope 10.14 is better and not crap like high sierra is! I originally downgraded back to Sierra after 5 weeks but they forced me to upgrade by making my Mac not boot so I had to install high sierra! They just want you to give them your money and buy a new computer. I bet if I walked into a apple store with my mac and said high sierra has slowed it down they would try to reinstall macOS again, I tried that. They will just try and sell me a new mac. I am tempted to sell my macbook on eBay and buy a 4K iMac with a i7 and 32gb ram, because it's getting worse with every update! Apple needs to sort their crap out! [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Feb 2018 05:13 AM PST Hello everybody, Firstly, I know veeery little about operating systems or upgrading. I've had my computer since 2011 and this is the first time I've even tried upgrading it... So my question is: Can I go straight from OS 10.6.8 to High Sierra? Or do I need to install other things first? As in, it is necessary to have install Sierra first? Thanks in advance lads! [link] [comments]
