Posted: 01 Apr 2018 09:09 PM PDT Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles! As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store! Since this thread is likely to fill up quickly, consider sorting the comments by "new" to see the newest posts. [link] [comments] |
Best free trivia game with no limitations on amount played in a day or anything? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 05:09 AM PDT I'm looking for a fun trivia game to play that is not limited by amount played in a day. Also I don't really want to play those live trivia games or whatever they're called, like HQ trivia or anything. What's the best one out there? [link] [comments] |
Pls recommend a PvE only game for iOS Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:38 AM PDT I like Kings Raid, but farming dragons is largely a PvP thing and then there is arena. Can you guys recommend a good PvE only game for iOS? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 05:32 PM PDT I'm a huge sucker for management-style games on the ios. This question hasn't been posted in awhile, so I figured I'd see if there have been any new additions to the genre. Every game I'm listing is a recommended buy, unless otherwise stated. I've played a lot of games and these stand atop the rest as worthwhile purchases. Not doing a full review for everything, just some quick thoughts on each game. Motorsports Manager 1 & 2: Formula 1 business management sim. One of my favorites, it's mentioned pretty frequently on this sub. MM1 is worth a play but I wish I'd jumped right into MM2, it's basically the same game with 20x the depth and polish. King of Dragon Pass: This game is hardcore. I've never played anything like it, it's a civilization management game with some remarkably deep lore and replayability that I can't even summarize in a post. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, or something you'll pick up and neglect your friends and family for a month, this is it. But first: Do your research, read some reviews, understand what you're getting into. It's got a massive learning curve, you're going to spend half of the first 5 hours reading the wiki. Kairosoft Games: The poster child for premium casual management sims. Favorites would be Beastie Bay, Shiny Ski Story, Dungeon Village, Game Dev Story, GP Story (basically a casual MM), and Ninja Village (short but fun). I couldn't get through Home Run High (tedious) and Dream Town (heavy IAP focus unlike other older Kairosoft games). /r/kairosoft is a great resource for deciding on which to purchase. Death Road 2 Canada: Oregon/Organ Trail with good combat and humor. Endless replayability and semi-frequent free content updates. If you haven't played it, play it. It'll take you a few tries to get to Canada. Fiz: Brewery business management sim. Pretty good, kept me entertained through the story. I can't find a reason to replay it, but I enjoyed the time I spent. It's a kairosoft game not made by kairosoft. Rebuild 3: Casual civilization management/strategy, you manage a group of survivors in a zombie apocalypse and attempt to take back a city one building at a time, while managing relations with other factions. It's challenging but lacks depth. I cheesed my way through the fairly long game in a couple days, and was so burnt out playing it I put it down and haven't picked it up since. The story keeps you going. Sheltered: My most recent purchase. Apocalypse shelter management, you send party members out on expeditions for resources and craft better gear/amenities for dwellers. It's got depth, but a bit tedious and heavily relies on RNG. I got bored after a few hours but I could see myself going back at some point. There's no endgame, but there are goalposts to hit, and it's satisfying going from struggling to thriving. It's like a gritty Fallout Shelter w/o IAP and timers. Game Dev Tycoon: Business sim, most people know this game so I won't get into it. If you like business sims you'll like this one. It's a very safe option. Punch Club: Boxing management game. It's got a loooooong story and if you don't play on easy you'll be playing 80% longer (very grindey). You train your fighter, manage $ and time, and accomplish quests. I really enjoyed it, great bang for your buck. 80 Days: Another great choice. You're the butler for a man who makes a wager that he can travel around the world in 80 days. You manage money, plan the route, and make meaningful choices. Worth 8-10 playthroughs with all the different routes you can choose. Very stylistic and story-heavy. That's all I can think of right now. What did I miss? [link] [comments] |
A clicker type game without in game purchases? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 03:18 AM PDT basically the title wouldn't mind to pay for it once, but i'm really sick of all the microtransaction bullshit in the genre EditEdit: i know that many of those games can be enjoyed even without buying in-game-currency or something of the sort. but that is not what i'm looking for: no microtransactions, long possibly infinite playtime and the price of the game doesn't matter. That's what i'm looking for. EditEditEdit: btw thanks for the suggestions so far [link] [comments] |
How is Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy in iOS? Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:47 AM PDT My main concern is the controls. Is it as good as it is on the PC? Thinking of buying it but I'm not really sure. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Rogue-like / Rogue-lite games? Posted: 01 Apr 2018 08:09 PM PDT I've already played FTL, Holy Potatoes WIS, Quadropus, Guild of Dungeoneering, cat quest, morphite, and don't starve I think I named the only games that exist in this genre but is there anything else out there? [link] [comments] |
Fortnite now available for everyone on iOS Posted: 02 Apr 2018 09:56 AM PDT |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 10:50 AM PDT Flying to London in a few days and I was wondering what are some good games for long flights. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 03:31 PM PDT I take the train to class everyday and it's about a 30-40 minutes ride underground so no service :( what's a good game I can kill time with [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:40 AM PDT Is it good? Has it improved on 2017. I can't game much because of my wife. She hates me being on the pc. But I do have an iPad Pro and want something to play! [link] [comments] |
Imported my PSN account to Fortnite Posted: 01 Apr 2018 08:00 PM PDT |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 09:19 PM PDT Got an iTunes gift card for the first time in a while and I'm looking at paid games. I keep hearing good things about oceanhorn but I'm open to some suggestions. I love games like PUBG and fortnite but I work at a place with horrible service and no WiFi so I also play games like Solitairica and altos adventure. I don't want to get altos odyssey until I complete adventure though. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
