Spotify for Apple Watch status (Snowy)

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 12:46 AM PST

I heard a while ago that Spotify was suppose to be coming to the Apple Watch as a stand-alone app. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on when it was meant to come out?

    New to Apple Watch

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:40 AM PST

I am new to Apple Watch, only complaint is no native Podcast app. What would you guys recommend for listening to Podcasts via Apple Watch for walks? I don't like carrying my phone if I am just going out for a short walk. Otherwise I love the watch already. Last smartwatch I had tried was the Moto 360 2 years ago and it is amazing how far they have come in such a small span of time.

    AutoSleep Calibration Help

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:40 AM PST

I used AutoSleep for the first time last night and everything looks pretty good...but this may be because I honestly don't remember if there were any times I woke up during the night. I am a pretty light sleeper and do wake up every time the dog moves or I need to roll over, but it's quick and I easily fall back to sleep. What level should I choose for the sensitivity? I've run through the wizard a few times and think I've set it up the way it should be for me. Also, I'm very surprised the vibrate-only alarm didn't wake me up! I was hoping it would so I don't wake up my fiancé. It's on the highest vibrate setting too.

Any tips for calibration for a light sleeper? Or any settings I should be aware of? Thanks!

AW2 Minnie not speaking time apple repair not helpful

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:37 AM PST

My GFs AW2 started draining battery big time so after talking to apple support she takes it to a local APPLE repair depot.
Well they replace it with a new(i dont know if its a refurb) watch, shes happy except she has Minnie for her face and it wont speak the time. We go through the pairing process a few times but to no avail.
She takes it back to the repair depot and the "tech" tells her, "oh yes its a software problem" and no further action on his part. You will have to wait till a fix comes out.
Now all this time I am helping her over the phone and not in person, so last night I ask her to verify the watchOS, and sure enough its 4.x not the latest. We then go through the process of a update which takes forever and trys her patience. After 30 minutes or so its updates and Minnies speaking, she is happy and it will be a good V day for me!
Bottom line: I think the tech should have verified at the least the watchs current OS, we would have taken it from there, I should have checked the OS from the beginning but assumed it was current, but seeing the release date of the OS I assume the watch was on the shelf before then.

    Suggestion for durable watch band.

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 07:24 AM PST

    Hello all!

I have a 42mm series 2. I work in a warehouse and during the day my watch band takes a fair amount of abuse. The issue I'm having is where I have to lock the band in so the watch isn't too loose is perfect, until I tuck the extra bit of the band in. I am using the original band from Apple. The larger of the two if that helps.

I'm looking for suggestions on a durable band, that does not need to tuck under like the OEM band that comes with the watch.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Also this is my first post here. So yay!!

    Question!

Do you guys have any sleep tracking app recommendations? I'm getting my S3 in tomorrow and was wondering if you guys had any sleep tracker apps you'd recommend since ya know, Apple Watch doesn't track sleep 🤷‍♂️

Apple Watch Upgraders Tell me your thoughts.

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 01:37 AM PST

So I bit the bullet finally and upgraded my Apple Watch. I had an original Apple Watch Sport (later known as the Series 0) 42mm space Grey. I've had it since pre orders were despatched for the first watch. I love my watch so much but felt it was slow and limiting what I did with it due to this.

I've just received (it's at my house waiting for me to unbox it) a series 3 Nike + edition with Cellular (42mm again) I'm slightly nervous now that I'm not going to see a massive improvement.

So I was hoping others who have upgraded could tell me their thoughts.

Does Cellular really yield a benefit Is the performance upgrade significant Do you feel it was worth the money?

    Thanks in advance.

    Aluminum Apple Watch update?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2018 08:32 PM PST

Could anyone provide any update after usage with an aluminum Aw? I was debating on buying the series 3 gps aluminum, but my co worker has had the series 1 for over a year or two and he said the back paint is starting to come off after usage. I plan to use mine for everyday activities. work, gym, etc.. I currently have a stainless steel series 42mm but it's been heavy on my wrist. How's the aluminum aw after a year? Heavy usage or light?

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Heart rate superior to 120 bpm while resting.

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 04:21 AM PST

    Hi,

Normally, once every two weeks I receive this message from the Apple Watch while I was sleeping... Should I be worried? I'm not sure if: 1. It's something to be worried about or it could just be bad dreams 2. The AW is measuring correctly. Sometimes, during the day it measures too low or too high bpm but it only lasts for a few seconds

    Thanks in advance

    The awesomeness of Apple Watch

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 03:25 AM PST

There's nothing like standing in shoulder deep water in the bay for a post-run dip, watching a spectacular sunset, while also making a phone call, all with nothing but your watch to realise how truly spectacular the Apple Watch is. So fortunate to have one!

Music App stuck and never finish the “installation” process

    Posted: 13 Feb 2018 01:51 AM PST

I downloaded Apple Music again on my iPhone some days ago, but, after those days and some restarts, the app in the Watch is still stuck on the installation cycle.

    Someone with the same problem?

A couple neat watchOS design details

    Posted: 12 Feb 2018 12:54 PM PST

    • In the numerals face when it's 12 o'clock, the 12 gets moved slightly downward to make room for Water Lock / airplane mode / notifications icons
    • At the bottom of the dock, the icon on the All Apps button changes based on whether the home screen is set to be a grid view or list view

What are some other details people have noticed?
