How can i use a Apple TV without a socket? Posted: 13 Feb 2018 01:47 AM PST I would like to use a Apple TV in my classroom for mirroring my iPad (example: then i can go around and take a photo of homework and correct them for all students visible). But the connection for the projector and the socket for power are far away from each other (silly construction, i know). I won't use large cables - is there a powerbank or something just like this avaible? Btw i am from Germany. [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to make HomePod the default audio output for Apple TV? Posted: 12 Feb 2018 01:35 PM PST I cannot figure out how to do this. I have to go to settings each time to toggle to HomePod as output as the default remains my television speakers. [link] [comments] |
Purchased a movie on the Apple TV and it won't download. Posted: 12 Feb 2018 06:28 PM PST I purchased a movie through the Apple TV iTunes and it kept giving a waiting signal. I backed out and tried to purchase again and it said " you have already purchased this content, would you like to watch?" If I push yes it goes back to the waiting signal. The movie isn't showing up on any other of my devices but if I try to purchase it iTunes says that it is already purchased. I have tried restarting, should I reset? Has anyone else had a problem like this? Have you fixed it? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 Feb 2018 02:13 AM PST I have an ATV4 and am thinking of upgrading to the 4K model. Are all of the aerial screensavers from ATV4 available on the ATV4k? If so, do they play in upscaled 1080p or are there 4K versions? Are there any 4K ones NOT available on ATV4? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Third-gen Apple TV keeps "forgetting" third-party remote programming Posted: 12 Feb 2018 07:25 AM PST I've been using a third-party universal remote to control my ATV3 ever since I got it, and recently, my ATV has started to "forget" that it's been programmed to recognize this remote. It just won't recognize commands from the remote at all anymore. I've also got an IR blaster that outputs the same codes as my remote, and the ATV won't recognize that anymore, either, so I know it's not the remote's fault. I can reprogram the ATV and everything will work again for a while, but after several days I have to do it again. Anyone had a similar problem or know of a fix? [link] [comments] |
Infuse updated and forget all my watched/unwatched Posted: 12 Feb 2018 07:15 AM PST Does this happen to anyone else? This is the second time for me, after an update. Infuse says it has "Never" updated and goes back thorough the whole library (takes forever) and sets everything back to unwatched. It also changes images on movies which I have corrected. Now I see Tom Sellick instead of the Boz... [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2018 06:51 PM PST I signed up for 3 months of service with direct tv (30/mo) and they just shipped me a free Apple TV 4K! [link] [comments] |
Unresponsive streams, sluggishness, and frequent re-activation needed on 32GB 4k Posted: 12 Feb 2018 05:37 PM PST I've noticed in the last several weeks that my 32GB 4k with service through Directv Now via Comcast internet has become very problematic in daily use. Most apps that I use (Disney Junior, Disney Now, Nick Jr., Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, to name a few) freeze up with the spinning wheel when trying to stream. The Apple TV interface will often become very sluggish and/or unable to navigate back in the menu. To top it off I have to reactivate my account on most of the apps rather frequently (even for the ones where my Directv Now credentials are saved). Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this par for the course? I've tried to change wireless networks, restart the ATV, and while the ATV is experiencing these issues other devices on the same wireless networks continue to function perfectly fine. I've run speed tests and I'm consistently getting 65 Mbps down. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2018 03:57 PM PST Whenever I watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on the 4th Gen AppleTV in 7.1, the left and right channels flip. I.E. when Star Lord flies off to the left of the screen, I hear it on the right. I have called Apple about this and they assured me it would be fixed but it still hasn't been. Every other movie is fine. [link] [comments] |
Using Siri to change Airplay output. Posted: 12 Feb 2018 03:07 PM PST Is there a way to change the audio output to my airplay speakers by using Siri? I'm particularly interested when using iTunes. I can change them using the remote, but some people in my house are not as adept with technology. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2018 10:52 AM PST I'm experiencing a random white flicker on my Apple TV 4K. Tried it with 4 different HDMI leads and still no avail. Took it to the Apple store and they couldn't replicate it. I'm running the beta version of TV so they won't give me a new one until it's released and can't roll back to rule it out. Just wondering if anyone else has or had this issue? Thanks [link] [comments] |
