Questions about my first MacBook. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 07:39 PM PST I'm looking into buying a new MacBook, but am not sure what works for my needs. I will use it for some web-based CRM's I log into at work, email, YouTube, possibly DJ software, and some light audio and video recording. The recording will not require tons of editing; more trimming the fat from beginning and ending of recordings. These are the following I am contemplating: new model 13" Air i5 128GB with 8 gigs ram $899 new model 13" Pro i5 128 GB with 8 gigs ram $1299 mid 2017 12" MacBook Kaby Lake M3 256 GB with 8 gigs ram $1299 What would you recommend based on my usage needs? I'm only looking at new units right now based on the financing option I have for these particular units through my employer. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:18 PM PST Hi all, I am looking to hook up bluetooth keyboard and mouse to my Macbook. Was thinking Logitech but am relatively brand indifferent (I don't live in the states currently so don't have access to all brands). The problem is that my Macbook has only one port and I don't want to use the port for a USB bluetooth dongle since I use it for charging. Even with my dongle extender, I use external hard drives often from the USB port. Best to not waste the space. So, do you guys know of any keyboards and mice that don't need a USB bluetooth dongle to work? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:38 PM PST I don't have room directly next to my MacBook Pro. I would love a USB-C hub (the more features the better) that will provide power to my computer. The problem I've found is that the ones I have found have rather short cords. If I have to get one with a hardwired cord, I'd like it to be 1-1.5 meters (4 feet). I'd actually prefer to supply my own usb-c cable. Any thoughts? THanks. [link] [comments]
MBP-2012 (non-retina) no output sound via Internal speakers or Airpods Posted: 14 Feb 2018 10:05 PM PST I encountered it last night when I was using my Airpods. What could have gone wrong? I bought it March 2015. Also, I noticed that there's an interrupting sound when I'm at least 20ft. away from my macbook while when using the Airpods on my iPhone 7 it doesn't occur.
