I tried turning it off and back on and all that too [link] [comments] |
loading an old back up, without also losing my existing data. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:47 PM PST So I had my Iphone 7 destroyed last year at work from water damage. When I went to sync my replacement phone, the most recent back up didn't include any photos from the last year of my life. I think because i was using an old iphone 5 that I had sitting around. It tried to sync and completely filled the phone, so I deleted stacks of photos off the iphone 5. I just found an old back-up in my computer from the 7 though, and am trying to install that back-up without losing 3 months of photos in the restore. Is it possible to restore an old back-up along side the current data? I would really appreciate some help. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 6 - help with photo storage Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:03 PM PST I have never used an iPhone, only Android devices, so I would love a bit of help. My Dad has an iPhone 6 that essentially has no storage space left (camera won't take any more pictures). I know he pays for extra iCloud storage space (few dollars per month). He doesn't have a computer to back up or transfer to. On my Google Pixel 2, there is an option to remove pictures from the device to free up storage. The pictures are still stored in Google photos, and are still viewable in the native app (as long as I am on wifi or data). Ie, when scrolling through my photos, I would never notice a difference whether a specific image was stored locally or not. I can still view and share the cloud images the same as if they were still on the device. Is there something similar for the iPhone 6? Hopefully this is a really obvious question. I tried googling, but was unsure about inadvertently deleting his pictures. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:54 AM PST Hello Reddit. I was trying to back up my iPhone 6 with iTunes where I encountered this problem. What can I do to solve the issue? [link] [comments] |
