    I know it sounds silly, but I found a MacBook Pro Retina 2015 and I decided to jump on it. It came in the mail, everything was great until I looked at the keyboard. Something was not right. I stared and stared and noticed Ñ had its own key...Ok. Then I noticed Ç had its own key. It hit me that this isn't a regular keyboard and when it looked it up, was the Spanish ISO layout.

    I'm on the fence whether or not this bothers me enough to sell it to someone else. Can I swap out the keyboard with an American one?

    I'm weighing my options and pros and cons:

    -Can get annoying switching from Spanish ISO to American English keyboard day-to-day
    -The seller was very descriptive and honest, I just didn't pay attention properly, therefore I cannot return it
    -The seller was also very nice and kept in touch with me through out the shipping process, so I would feel bad

    But also
    -I got a good deal on a 2015 MBP Retina, it turned out to be a 500GB which I did not expect
    -I can supposedly get a little bit extra because the Spanish ISO keyboard is sought out by some (allegedly)
    -I can type français and Limaçon without using any alt-codes.
    -I can possibly by a new keyboard and change it

    I don't know what to do.

    Quake 1

    Hello, I have an Macbook pro Mid 2015 15 Inch base model. I want to play some games like Quake 1, Doom I - II, Half life 1 and maybe Half Life 2, and Im wondering if its possible and if it will overheat or not. Thanks

    [HELP] MacBook is displaying a blinking folder, but...

    Let me start by saying I looked through some other threads, but couldn't find this particular scenario.

    So, my MacBook randomly started displaying the "blinking folder" icon Tuesday night. Whenever I try command+r at start up it goes through the motions, and then freezes up whenever I get to the screen where you can start from a back up, or repair, or reinstall the OS. Whatever scheduled an appointment at Apple.

    Then I let the battery drain, and plugged it in the next day when it was dead and boom it came up. Was working fine for two hours, then I noticed I had an update available and decided to download it as maybe my computer was messing up because it needed an update (I don't know I'm not to savvy).

    Anyway, as that update was installing the computer decided to display the folder again. So now it is caught in this kernel panic, trying to install the update, blinking folder loop. Am I just going to have to wait for my appointment at Apple? At this point I know they'll tell me what's wrong, but curious if it is right in front of me, or anything to test.

    What apps should I use for controlling my macbooks temps/fans, using windows through bootcamp?

    I want to see if I can cool my macbook better even if it means a louder fan noise. My GPU continues to throttle as soon as I hear the fan go on. Airflow isnt the best on macbooks :(

    Stains on keys. Cannot be removed with water or screen cleaning solutions. Do you have any ideas? I dont think its oil

    Buying advice (MB/MBP/MBP-TouchBar)

    I'm currently considering buying a Mac for travel purposes, and am looking for the following main criteria:

    • Battery life - should be at least 8h on light tasks, 4+ on intensive ones
    • Lightweight - would prefer not carrying around 4kg laptop on long trips

    The main tasks I plan on using the machine for are the following:

    • frequent light usage (Web Browsing/Word Processing)
    • infrequent programming (small compilation tasks < 10k C sloc)
    • once-in-a-blue-moon demanding tasks (audio processing, short video rendering)

    I don't plan on using the machine for gaming, or GPU related tasks. To that end, I have identified 3 MacBooks that would suit my needs:

    • MacBook 2017, Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256SSD
    • MacBook Pro 2017, Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD
    • MacBook Pro TouchBar 2017, Core i5 3.1GHZ, 8GB, 256GB SSD

    The last one seems slightly overpriced for my needs, and would like to hear other opinions.

    I will only be using this as a general reference, since I'm waiting for the next refresh to happen before I buy one.

    Hi I live in Italy,I will be travelling on a business trip to Plano( texas) in April for 3 months, I am looking to sell my early 2011 Mac (256 gb, 4gb ram,no retina) and upgrade to a new mac in plano which is the best place to sell old laptops and what is the prize i can expect for my old mac? looking for a prize comparison and to see if there are any documents needed to sell mac in the USA. thanks for your help

    [PROBLEM] INCORRECT WIFI PASSWORD

    I have Macbook Air late 2011 currently running the latest MacOS. It doesn't connect to my Wifi instead of numerous attempts. Hitting the correct password shows Incorrect Password on laptop. Hitting the same password in iPhone connects to Wifi. Any workaround to connect Macbook to Wifi.

    Spilled coffee on my MacBook Air keyboard

    Spilled coffee on my MacBook Air keyboard. The screen went off. I dried the keyboard and turned it back on after 5 hours. It is working perfectly fine.

    What should I do now?

    Any suggestions? Please help.

    Macbook Pro SSD

    ok so here it goes.

    i have a 13 inch 2015 Macbook Pro Rentina which has a 500gb SSD

    Would this SSD be compatible in my new 2017 Macbook Pro with touch bar?

    the new laptop I bought secondhand only has 256gb.

    i personally dont think its going to be that easy but thought I would ask...
