Posted: 24 Jan 2018 06:51 AM PST It seems like every day we see a new post about 'omg I'm not getting exercise rings' or 'I'm getting too many exercise minutes but I'm not exercising!' Apple has a support document about this: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204516
[Yes, I know the GPS calibration part is for Series 1 or earlier only, but the above applies to all models] If you either aren't getting enough exercise credits, or think you're getting too much, taking the time to do this can help your apple watch be more accurate. And obviously the more you do, the more accurate it is. [link] [comments]

I joined the Apple Watch club.... Finally Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:49 AM PST I'd been looking at Watch for some time, I was interested in the Watch 2 sport in the beginning then I went off the idea of owning a Watch thinking I'd not wear it much and it wouldn't benefit me so much then shortly after Xmas I went out and got myself an AWA3 now in all honesty I'm glad I got one. I'm a bit lazy and this has helped me become more active, I've found it to be pretty accurate and so far this month I've managed to close all rings everyday so I'd like to thank Apple for this superb time piece/activity tracker that has encouraged me to be more active and I feel better for it. Next up I'm hoping to get a couple of third party bands and a screen protector. Without a doubt should Apple bring out a Watch 4 in fall this year I'll be investing in one. [link] [comments]

Workout Lag fixed in watchOS 4.2.2 Posted: 23 Jan 2018 09:13 PM PST Hey all, I am just saying in my experience the watchOS 4.2.2 Update has fixed the most annoying Bug/glitch/lag in watchOS I've ever seen the Workout app lag! Who else is having this issue, in my Series 1 (2016) and Series 3 it's not there anymore!! [link] [comments]

What's the deal with quick replies? Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:48 PM PST I don't really understand how they are organized and it makes absolutely no sense to me. I set custom ones and rearrange the list to how I want them but it's like it hits shuffle everytime I get a new message. It is so unbelievably unituitive and frustrating. Anyone know how to put them in a specific order and have them stay that way? I've got a series 3 with the latest 4.2.2 update. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 06:50 AM PST Hi all has anyone noticed on latest firmware (release not beta) that workouts is very sluggish? Sometimes I have to force quit (hold button, then hold crown) and go back in to speed it back up or unfreeze. This then takes time to load too. I'm going to try a restore but wondered if this was a general thing. Has been fine up to and including 4.0 release but at some point since went bad. Running on an aw2 Nike In terms of a reset how do I do it just unpair then re-pair? Will I lose anything? Thanks [link] [comments]
How to DIY color JUUK Revo stainless steel watch band? Posted: 23 Jan 2018 10:27 PM PST I just snagged a 38mm JUUK revo gunmetal from Amazon as it was heavily discounted from $270 to $70. I read reviews that the links where not colored gunmetal and that the manufacturer did it to bring the price down. Upon receiving the item, it still looks good but the links are an eyesore. Is there a cheap DIY way to at least darken or color the links gray? [link] [comments]
I just got apple watch series 3 last Friday, how often do you take yours off? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:13 AM PST I'm still getting used to it but I notice watch gets kinda gross after it being attached to my wrist all day. Does anybody have a routine where the watch is off their wrist at certain times of the day? Also slightly unrelated but I didn't feel like over-saturating with a bunch of newbie questions but how accurate is the Heart Rate monitor? I don't expect it to be 100 percent but does anybody have any tips on how to get a good clear reading? Okay promise one last unrelated question, I got a clear bumper for it but I decided not to get a screen protector. Does anybody know if I should just spend the money on a screen protector or is it going to be okay without one? All I do is go to University and go to the gym. [link] [comments]

Any news of Series 3 Cellular release in other countries? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:47 AM PST I remember that it was said that more countries would be releasing the cellular capability in 2018 but I haven't heard anything on it since and we only authorised resellers and no Apple stores in Ireland, so I am not getting any insight into a possible release. I was holding off on upgrading my series 0 because I really wanted cellular but the lagging of the Series 0 is really getting to me and I want to pull the trigger soon. [link] [comments]

Watch keeps notifying on iMessage? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 03:52 AM PST Hi, I was used to this behavior on my Watch : If i was sending messages with someone on iMessage it only noitified me of a new message if i didn't have iMessage open. That was correct. But since 2 weeks it is also notifying me of new messages while iMessage is open. So when i'm having a busy conversation my Watch keeps on making sound and vibrating on "new" messages, which i have already read and replied to... Is that behavior i can change somwhere? Because it is really annoying.. [link] [comments] |
