What are the good party/group games ?

I have Song Pop Party and Sketch Party but wondering if there are any hidden gems. I just saw Just dance but the pricing model of that is screwed up for me. I don't mind paying a one up free and extra for more content but Just dance seemed a rip off as you'd constantly need to hand over money.

Latest Apple tvOS with framerate switching and worse audio sync

    Posted: 27 Jan 2018 03:54 AM PST

Has anyone needed to increase the audio delay since updating and enabling the framerate match option? Previously I had my receiver set to delay the audio by 55ms. Now I need to set it to about 150ms. This isn't a problem for me since I can compensate for it, but it seems that I need more audio delay no matter the app. I have the Apple TV plugged into my receiver which outputs the video to my tv.

Redbox app doesn’t work on appletv?

Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?

Just found out an app for streaming with redbox existed and wanted to try it out. But every time I enter user name and password it kicks me out of the app.

Which apps support automatic frame rate switching?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2018 07:52 AM PST

As I understand it, tvOS just enables the functionality, but apps must implement it too. I know Infuse has it, but what about Netflix etc? Plex?

As a European I'm manually switching between 50hz and 60hz every night, so it would be awesome to have this working. Anyone know if HBO Nordic supports it? SVT Play?

AppleTV 4k vs. Samsung 4k TV "OS"

    Posted: 26 Jan 2018 06:39 AM PST

    Hey,

I have a 4k Samsung TV I am very happy with on the quality standpoint.

The connectivity of its "OS" is pretty good too : I can have Netflix, Amazon, and most of what I need.

Still, I am lurking on the AppleTV which could be nice for the direct Macbook->TV casting (the Samsung should support it, but it seems kinda flaky), same for casting from iPhone, iPad,...

I am just unsure about Youtube: I use that a lot, and the Samsung Youtube app is far from bad and I hear that the AppleTV Youtube handling is the worst of all. Anyone can elaborate? or can give a comparison vs. what TV-OSes do? (which is similar to what a PS4 can do or so...).

I must say the AirPods connectivity is very appealing and being able to watch connected-TV things silently but wirelessly is very appealing.

And overall, all things considered, would an AppleTV be an improvement over a naked Samsung TV-OS ?

2 ATVs needing to restore or restart daily

    Posted: 26 Jan 2018 07:27 AM PST

Hi there. I have 2 ATVs (4th Generation) that I have had for a year. Almost daily, I get the screen that says there is a problem and I need to restart or restore. Not for one but for both. I have restored both of them and it keeps coming back. Any thoughts? I think I am outside of my warranty period of course!

Help. Lack of 1080p 120hz option

    Posted: 26 Jan 2018 11:30 AM PST

    Hi,

My set up is Apple TV 4K hooked up to an LG B7a. I am able to get dolby vision 4k fine, but do not see an option to do a 1080p 120hz. Is there a reason for this? the TV has 120hz refresh rate panel so I don't know why Apple TV wouldn't support it.
