    This must have been added recently. Now when the Netflix app is on the top shelf. When you highlight it; the top shows your most recently watched shows to continue watching. I always assumed Apple blocked other apps from doing this to push them to support "Up Next."

    Cheapest Infuse solution for 4K? Router w/ USB okay?

    Hey there,

    I'm wanting to upgrade my Infuse experience. Love the app, but currently can't make use of 4K.

    With an Apple TV 4K (or just ATV4), what kind of wireless setup can I go for that won't break the bank? Read around on Synology NAS and all that malarkey, but definitely pricey. Would buying a better router with a USB on the back and plugging in a hard drive sort me out? If so, does it need to be USB 3 and does the router need to be a specific speed to handle the Apple TV reading 4K files in real-time? I welcome recommendations!

    Best Apps that leverage Top Shelf!

    I really think that the Apple TV Top Shelf is one of the best UX features on any streaming device. However, I think there are way too many apps that simply don't leverage this feature to its full potential.

    For example, the Channels app is perhaps the best example I can point to that really makes this feature shine. There are others as well, but Channels is my current favorite. The TV App is right up there too - very useful. Also Netflix. If more apps were to leverage top shelf, they may have to offer more than one row!

    However, I only have three apps that I use daily that utilize top shelf functionality for meaningful content - Channels, Netflix and the TV App.

    Some popular apps that really miss the mark when it comes to top shelf functionality are: Youtube, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, ESPN, Directv Now, Sling, PSVue

    Some albums in iTunes Match/iCloud Music will not play/stream on 4th Gen AppleTV in iTunes, however the same albums play fine on Apple Watch LTE & Music App on iPhone over LTE.

    I Rebooted Apple TV, signed out/in with Apple ID, reformatted Apple TV. No other Apple TV App has issues, even 4K streaming. 65 Mbit connection (verified with fast.com & testmy.net).

    Is there a fix?

    Remote Navigation

    I just realized after having an ATV4 for months that you can tap on the top bottom left and right of the touchpad to act as arrows for navigation. I am not a fan of the swipe so this is pretty cool.

    Sharing in case anyone else is oblivious as me.

    Add content to apple TV 4K

    Hi guys,

    is there any way that I can add content to apple TV 4K? to utilize its 64GB storage? or is that for apple system use only? I plan on adding several 4K HEVC videos - specifically video reels. I'm thinking like a file transfer option - the same way I would all videos to my ipad via itunes to the VLC app.

    Apple Remote frustrations

    I have the Apple TV directly before the 4K model. Don't know what to call it.

    First 6 months were great. After those six months the remote became useless. The battery lasts 2 days of light use at best. Okay, whatever, I'm chill and don't want to pay Apple's exorbitant price to replace the remote so we switch to our phones with the Apple TV remote app.

    Well, a few days ago there was an update that asked me a lot of questions (what room is this Apple TV in, do you want to keep settings saved on iCloud, etc). From the moment that update finished, not even my phone or my wife's can stay connected anymore. I have reset pairing many times. It works if you unplug the Apple TV and plug it back in, but watch one show, and suddenly no phone can see the Apple TV anymore.

    What gives?

    Does anyone else have issues with the WWE Network app?

    Every time I watch a live PPV, it constantly lags and drops to like 240p. I have no problem with YouTube Livestreams, and I have no problem with watching 4k content on Netflix, but live WWE stuff always messes up for me.
    Is anyone else having this issue?

    I'm using a 4k Apple TV, and I guess I'm stupid, cause I never considered going into the video settings and changing the quality to 1080, and it has been working fine since then.

    How to ID developer model?

    I have multiple apple TVs I'm planning to sell and I know one is a developer mode but don't know which one.

    I know you can't sell the dev model so trying to figure out which one it is.

    Two Siri remotes, one Apple TV (4th gen)

    So I have an Apple TV 4th gen in a large room where its very inconvenient to pass the remote (get up and walk). I have two Siri remotes but I can only seem to pair one at a time. Is there any way to pair two at a time? I have the Apple TV app on my iPhone, but that doesn't control volume, so a second remote would be needed which is also inconvenient. Really hope there's a solution. /firstworldproblem

    Single Sign On Issue

    I am trying to set-up the HGTV app on a new 4K; when trying to stream episodes of shows I am prompted with a single sign on(given a code that I am supposed to go to an activations website). I go to the website and enter the given code, select and sign-in to my cable provider; I am then greeted with a screen that says "congratulations, you can now watch your programs" but nothing else happens...on the apple tv it states my programs will start once authorized but it never moves past the code screen. I have done this multiple times, from multiple devices and browsers, refreshing for a new code, and always get the congrats screen but nothing. I went ahead and tried with other apps like FOX Now and The History Channel and they seem to work just fine. What are my options to try and resolve this? Is this a provider issue? An issue with the app?
