We have 2 Apple tv4s and we have family members that are more than willing to give us their cable provider credentials. I'm just trying to see if it will be a good move on us to just stick with the Apple tv's. I'll have to keep WiFi with fios which is fine with me. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]  |

A friend recommended I try Hotlap Heroes and Fibbage and these are both excellent. I'm looking for similar games which can be controlled by mobile devices. My wife uses Android and I use iPhone, which has proven to be a problem for a lot of the other games I've downloaded. We were a bit disappointed when we couldn't play Trials Frontier and Crossy Road together. Any suggestions appreciated [link] [comments]  |

So I went ahead and connected all my movie accounts through it. A lot of the movies were movie codes that I redeemed from one place or another. Then when I went to iTunes I saw all my movies now in ITunes, and a few of them were in 4K and the rest were in HD. Even though some of the movies were redeemed in SD. [link] [comments]  |

For some reason almost all my apps log me out after a couple weeks. Some examples: Crunchyroll Espn Nfl Nba Netflix (subscription through same iTunes account) History Vudu Directtvnow Etc It's pretty annoying. I wish I did not have to go through every app and enter passwords every time. I understand sessions have to expire but 2-3weeks? Couldn't it be 1year? What about making it easier to sign in/out. Like a single button "sign in on all apps", that you would configure once with all your passwords and then would fill everything for you. Maybe single-sign on v2? [link] [comments]  |
| I'm in a predicament with my Apple TV and I need some help. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 04:55 PM PST For Christmas I got an Apple TV 4K and I love it. I just now got back to my college campus which is 13 hours away from home. After arriving and setting up my apple tv with my 4K monitor, I realized that I forgot to pack the remote that came with it. Normally I could solve this by using the remote app until my parents are able to mail me the remote, but I haven't connected the apple tv to my school wifi so I have no way of connecting to it with my phone. Somehow though, I am able to mirror my phone and mac to it even though I had never connected it to the internet at my school. Basically, I was wondering if there is anyway to connect to my Apple TV so I can watch things in 4K until I can get my remote back? I also have an ethernet cable available but that uses a different network than my school wifi. [link] [comments]  |

| Bluetooth audio lags - lip sync is badly off. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:15 AM PST With the latest AppleTV (and latest firmware) I have a Bluetooth speaker hooked up but there is a very noticeable lag in the audio when watching a movie. (I'm talking about Netflix mostly... haven't tested with anything else.) This makes the sound out of sync with the movie's lip movements and it's very annoying. Is this to be expected? | 4K/HDR Movies switching back to HD-only in iTunes Library on ATV4K? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 07:23 AM PST Yesterday I was finally able to update my receiver with Dolby Vision. My first move afterward, of course, was to put on a movie with DV. When I reached my library in the TV App, I noticed that under the "4K & HDR" section, I only had 3 movies. As recently as before Christmas, I definitely had something like 13 in that section. Most of which were grandfathered/upgraded from previous Digital Copy redemptions. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple last night, was passed along to 2 different supervisors, and they still couldn't come up with an answer. I fully expected them to say, "You must not own the rights to the 4K versions of those movies," and that would be the end of it, but they never seemed to get to that point. The tech is going to pass the case along to the engineering team and follow up in a few days. Anybody else experiencing this?
