I’ve had my watch for almost 2 years now and it was on silent for so long I didn’t know it had “charging” sound.

I'd disabled silent mode before, but not long enough for me to plug it in while out of silent mode. Disabled it today and my whole afternoon has been "Oh wow, there's a sound for that?"

    Apple Watch to track Lifting

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:04 AM PST

    Hello folks,

I'm buying myself an Apple Watch for my birthday in a few weeks. I'm a fairly active person and after doing some research it seems this is people's favourite fitness device. My typical weekly activities are running (two 5k's per week), three lifting sessions and 2 hot power yoga sessions. In the summer and spring I also swim.

So I played with one at the Apple store last week. My question: is there a way to accurately track lifting sessions and calories burnt as a result with the Apple Watch? If not, is there an app that works well for this purpose?

Using my watch to control music on my iPhone without putting music on my watch?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:17 AM PST

I did a little searching and came up with a few posts that kind of elude to my issue and would appreciate if anyone has any help

What I want to do is to be able to control the music on my iPhone without having to take my phone out of my pocket during walks and workouts. When I try to accomplish this I open the music app on my watch and the only screen I see is one saying "no music you can add music in the Apple Watch app on your phone" it doesn't scroll or do anything past that screen. I don't want to add music to the watch I just want to use it to stop. Skip. Replay. Etc. I've tried playing music from my phone first to see if that makes a difference but the still the same result. Anyone have any direction they could point me in?

Apple Watch + Swiming + Music?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:25 AM PST

Long story short, I can't run anymore (bad knees) Thinking of getting some waterproof headphones to go swimming with and hopefully connect them to my Apple watch . Does someone got any experience of this? Good headphones to buy? Will these work with Apple Music? https://www.sony.com/electronics/walkman/nwz-ws610-series

Appreciate all help I can get finding the right combo.

    Apple Fitness App/Watch Glitch!

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:35 AM PST

Been having this problem since late October when I bought a new phone and had to repair my watch with it (could be the cause). Every special fitness challenge for the month is totally broken. For example:

In November my challenge was to burn at least 38,419 calories. Literally on day 1 of the challenge it said "To earn this challenge, burn at least 38,419 calories for the month. You've burned 38,418 so far!". On day one of November it said that. December was the same type of problem (don't recall the numbers but they were broken as well).

Also, I somehow earned the "Ring in the New Year (close all three activity rings for 7 days straight in January) on December 28th.

To top it all off, I earned TWO perfect month achievements for December 2017: one on December 31st 2017 and the second on January 1st 2018.

I've tried restarting my watch, repairing my watch, and eventually resetting my watch to factory settings and pairing it as a brand new watch. Nothing works. Does anyone else have this problem or know of any ways to fix it? I'd really hate to lose all of my progress (43 very hard earned trophies and tons of PR set) but I don't know what else to do.

If anyone can solve this problem I'll email them an Amazon gift card!

    EDIT: added links to images.

    Siri on Apple Watch

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:26 AM PST

Is Siri suppose to talk on Apple Watch? I sound weird I know but obviously when I ask Siri questions or to carry out tasks she responds on the iPhone, on the Apple Watch she doesn't like she's on mute, or is it suppose to be like that?

Should I buy a silver milanese loop band?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:01 AM PST

I was thinking about buying an original milanese loop, but I'm not sure if it's worth the €160,- euros. What do you guys think about the milanese loop? Also, I don't want to wear a fake one. I already tried that but I really dislike the fake bands.

Or should I maybe buy AirPods? Or a cheaper band?

My Apple Watch Activity App does not sync to my iPhone after downgrading from iOS 11.2 to 11.1.2

    Posted: 10 Jan 2018 03:10 AM PST

Hi, I've been downgraded my iPhone 6s Plus from iOS 11.2 to iOS 11.1.2 in preparation for the jailbreak. Everything is working fine but it turns out that the Activity App on my iPhone does not sync from an Apple Watch. I have tried to unpair, reinstall the Activity app and still does not work. Is there anything I should do in order to make the Watch and the phone sync again?

Confused why Series 3 GPS (with iPhone in hand) was so inaccurate

    Posted: 09 Jan 2018 09:11 PM PST

    Hi there.

I took my series 3  watch and my iPhone 7 plus on a brief outdoor run. (I've done a lot of outdoor walking workouts with the watch but not outdoor running.)

The workout app told me that I ran 2.5 miles at about 9:45/mile pace. But I actually ran closer to 2 miles at 12 minute pace.

I'm confused as to why it was so inaccurate since there should be GPS in both the watch and the phone.

Do I need to reset my calibration data or something else to improve accuracy? Am I wrong to be feeling a little disappointed in my series 3??

    Thanks.

And yes I know I'm not in very good shape! :)
