I have reset my phone via iCloud back up and have set it up as a new phone as well, however the problem persists. It's been happening since the ios 11 update. Also, pressing the pause/play on headphones pauses/plays music playing through spotify, or wherever else music is being played from, and then starts playing apple music. [link] [comments]  |

Have checked the usual problems as well. Phone calls are allowed, but I only hear silence when the other end picks up. Makes no difference if I call or someone calls me. | Little brother's iPhone cannot connect to wifi or access the internet through LTE at all Posted: 22 Oct 2017 08:47 PM PDT Model: 6s IOS: 11.0.2 It started out in Chicago at the middle of last week and has persisted even now when we are at home. His phone shows LTE bars (cellular is enabled) in the status bar, but cannot access the internet. It can't connect to any wifi network and won't display any wifi symbols in the status bar or in settings. Literally have no idea how to fix it. Hard reset does not do anything. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 8 Plus iOS 11.0.3 Crash & Burn Posted: 22 Oct 2017 05:34 PM PDT I have the 8 Plus iOS iPhone and it started lagging very badly, it took 30 seconds to illuminate the app button that I touched and a full minute to open the app and then it freezes. I have pushed the up volume, down volume and then the power off until apple icon but it sits there for an endless amount of time. Finally I hooked it up to iTunes and did a recovery only to go through the same thing again. Then I did the factory reset and the haptic worked on the home button but after I put my backup on it that stopped as well as it started doing the lag, freeze, and crash. Do you have any answers at all? I called Apple Care and she said that Apple had problems with the iPhone 6 & 7 after the initial release of iOS 11. Then when they did the updates to help those phones, the 8 plus started having issues because it was made for iOS 11. I know I haven't been specific, there are just so many problems. Should I return the phone to Apple knowing that it is a software issue rather than a hardware issue? I just want the phone to work and it doesn't. I enter the phone number... it lags.... says it is connecting... and then says that call failed. Every single time. Right now I have it hooked up to iTunes to try again. [link] [comments]  |
| Personal Hotspot only half works since iOS 11 Posted: 22 Oct 2017 04:10 PM PDT So, I'm not 100% sure when it happened because I only occasionally use it, but hotspot is broken in a weird way. My laptop and other devices can connect to it fine, and they can resolve hostnames and diagnostics always say the connection is fine, but I can't actually send or receive any data? It's a weird thing. Ping doesn't work, trying to get to websites or connect to game servers don't work, but it has some connectivity because DNS works, but everything times out. I've tried it on several devices and platforms with the same issues on all. I've restarted, I've reset network settings, I've logged out/in to iCloud, and I've searched around for solutions to no avail. iPhone 6, iOS 11.0.3, everything up to date with regards to carrier settings and such. | Home Button Cracked after Electric Shock Iphone8+ Posted: 22 Oct 2017 04:54 AM PDT I just got the Iphone8+on Monday. I have an Otterbox case and Glass screen potector on it. Last night when I hit the home button, I got a small electrical shock from it. I looked at the phone and noticed that the glass screen protector has a crack in it. Not thinking anything into it. My phone went to reset. 10 minute later, I thought it was odd that it Still was on the Apple logo screen. I looked at the phone again and noticed that the home button was cracked as well. I tried looking to see if anyone has come across this issue, and is this covered by the my phone company or Apple, or am i just screwed? What could cause this? [link] [comments]  |
