I went to turn on the computer, it booted w/ the chime. Then the Progress Bar didn't move at all then the screen went blank. This is kinda important as I need to use the computer for my work. Thanks. | iPhone 7 not working decently at all since IOS11 Posted: 22 Oct 2017 12:10 PM PDT So I've updated to ios 11 when it came out, and am now on the most recent version 11.0.3. Since I got ios11 the phone crashes a lot (completely freezes and requires forces restarts), and almost any app can crash and this happens a lot. The phone is quite slow sometimes and wifi is super unreliable. It connect without problems but after a short while it just won't give me any internet connection anymore, until I turn wifi off and on again. This happens on about all wifi networks. I've reset all settings through settings. This did reset all my settings indeed, but did not solve any of the problems. The phone is super unreliable and it is basically ruined for smooth daily use. Even siri crashes sometimes. Anyone else experiencing this, will apple patch this soon? [link] [comments]  |
| Apple Music does not Play Radio on MacBook Pro Posted: 22 Oct 2017 08:32 PM PDT I have a MacBook Pro 13" Retina, and an Apple Music subscription. I am having an issue with Radio not playing. Apple Music is fine in all other areas (browse, library, playlists, etc) and Radio plays on my 7 Plus. By not playing I mean: if I choose a station to play, iTunes will show the station title in the play bar, quit, and return to the normal Apple logo. I am running the most recent High Sierra OS X build. I have tried: logging out/in of iTunes shutting down/restarting quitting iTunes/reopening Any input is welcome! | is there a way to grant full access to a certain app on OSX (Xcode) Posted: 22 Oct 2017 08:09 PM PDT Basically i have a school laptop that has restrictions (no admin access etc) and i have to do a major project for my final year of school that involves coding on Xcode... the problem is, i keep getting admin password requests and i can't wait multiple days or hours until i can get the I.T to do it for me, is there any one command or something that can be done for this app only that will grant me full permissions so that i don't have to repeatedly have to keep going back? thank you in advance. | Why does iCloud insist on compressing video? Posted: 22 Oct 2017 08:49 AM PDT I'm a little frustrated. The only way to get 4kp60 video off of my iPhone is to connect it with a cable and download onto a computer. This process is extremely slow. I went onto iCloud to see if I could download the video, but it turns out iCloud took a 6GB video and turned it into a highly compressed 175mb video, nowhere close to the same quality or resolution as the original. I thought the point of keeping your entire library on your phone and backed up with iCloud is that you're keeping an exact replica of everything on your iPhone. [link] [comments]  |
| Audio control from lock screen, buttons, or control not working. Posted: 22 Oct 2017 07:56 PM PDT I often listen to podcasts, and music both through either the Podcast app or the Music app. Ever since I updated to IOS 11, it has not shown anything that is being played in the lock screen, which takes away my option of pausing, or adjusting volume. I cannot adjust volume using the side buttons unless the app is open and on screen. This sucks. Hardware & software: Iphone 7 Plus, 128 GB. IOS 11.0.3. All devices are hooked up to the same apple ID. When I try to pair the watch to the phone, nothing happens. My issue is after a while the drives go to sleep and I can't access them (unless unplugging and plugging them in again). Any one that could help with my issue would be awesome. I got successfully cleaned it, but now the key will come off if I click it a certain way. I was wondering what my options are, I have Apple Care+, should I take it to an Apple Store or the third-party repair shop recommended to me by the Apple chat? | MacOS Photos problem; won't export video? Posted: 22 Oct 2017 12:20 PM PDT 7/10 of my videos imported from my phone refuse to be copied out of Photos. All videos will play perfectly in app but it will not copy if I drag it to my desktop. I managed to get 3 out of 10 videos on my desktop (they copied on my first attempt). The rest will not even export when I go through the menu directory. Is this a bug or are the videos recorded in a format which cannot be copied out? Anyone else ever experience this problem? | Posted: 22 Oct 2017 02:20 PM PDT Most of the time iTunes fails to start at all. Instead, the application appears as a background process taking up precisely around 24-26% CPU. Each consecutive time I open iTunes, it goes to 50%, 75%, then begins throttling, opening up multiple iTunes background processes. This is only remedied by restarting or logging in and out of my PC. | iPod touch, and now iPhone 5S, randomly lose songs Posted: 22 Oct 2017 01:26 PM PDT Hiya, I really don't understand how this is happening, but songs randomly disappear from my iPhone 5S library. I hate cloud stuff, so all the songs are added via my laptop. The songs that go missing don't have any connection, they seem random. I can't remember for certain if it does this with iTunes-purchased music, but a number of non-purchased MP3s have randomly disappeared. What's nuts is, this happened on my iPod touch as well. I'm using a hand-me-down iPhone 5S now, and one of the many reasons I decided to upgrade to iPhone was to stop losing songs randomly, since I assumed it was an issue with the iPod touch itself. I plugged in my phone today and the phone's library display in iTunes shows the songs that are missing. So it's almost like, they're on my phone, but...are hidden? I dunno. I can't figure this out and I can't believe it's still happening across devices and years. (songs never go missing from iTunes itself/my laptop, btw) Any help would be awesome. [link] [comments]  |
| Changing iTunes App Store to a different country on iOS 11, iPad with multiple accounts Posted: 22 Oct 2017 05:01 PM PDT I have had two iTunes accounts, the main in the US and a secondary one in the UK for many years. The other day, I had to update one of the apps in the UK store on my iPad. I therefore somehow managed to change and login to my UK iTunes. Unfortunately, with iOS 11, I'm now unable to change back to the App Store to the US one. I need to do that because 99% of my apps are from the US. In the past I was able to easily do it but with the new App Store changes I cannot find a way to do this now. I have tried to log in and out of iTunes, but unfortunately the App Store keeps on telling me it cannot connect to the server and I think this is because it's still fixed in the UK. | Resize (bulk) photos by file size, not resolution? Posted: 22 Oct 2017 01:08 PM PDT Is there an App out there that you can upload bulk photos to and it will resize each of the photos by "file size" and not by resolution? I am aware of the Preview trick where you can select all photos, then go to Tools>Adjust Size, but it only lets me adjust it by width/height/resolution and not the actual file size (mb)? | Posted: 22 Oct 2017 04:39 PM PDT Pretty much I've been on Tesco Mobile on my IPhone 6S for around a year, all worked fine, but this month my data was due to reset at 11:59pm, I woke up the next day and it was still the same as the day before, all my 3gb was used up, i had a notification from Tesco saying "You have used up all your data for 2 months running". I'm not sure what's going on, it should automatically pay and I've never had this issue before, and the strange thing is it know that it is on the next month as it says so above, I also upgraded to 6 GB and t should have been added this month, but nope, still all used up (by this month I mean 22nd October as it is the 22nd of every month), any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!! | Posted: 22 Oct 2017 12:44 PM PDT Hello. Recently I updated my iPhone 7 Plus 32gb to 11.0 with no problems. But after updating to 11.0.3 my phone has gone completely crazy. It started when I couldn't receive calls. Someone would call me and it would stay on 00:00 elapsed call time until it finally hung up. When I restarted it once it got stuck no the apple logo until I force restarted a couple times. Eventually it came back on and I used it just fine for a couple of days. I still hadn't been able to send or receive calls, but facetime calling worked fine. Then when I try to video the video freezes at 00:00 and the phone freezes for a few seconds and catches back up. I have restored through DFU several times, and one time I was able to get everything back to normal. Until today when it got stuck in a bootloop. I tried restoring it again and it's just going through the bootloop. I'm really at a loss. iTunes actually sees it just fine and even lets me go through the backup or new phone process. But it's just sitting on the Apple logo. Any suggestions as to what is going on with my phone? Thanks :) [link] [comments]  |
