iPhone Apple's warranty is a joke in Turkey

Apple's warranty is a joke in Turkey

    Hi everyone,

Let me explain here how Apple Turkey offers a meaningless warranty. Around 2 weeks ago, the Wifi button stopped working. I called Apple and they could not find a solution. So they recommended that I should take it to their technical service for a repair under warranty. Almost 10 days later they called to inform me that since there are scratches on the glass and on the case, they cannot open the iPhone to fix the Wifi issue without causing any damage. They decided that the solution is to give me a new iPhone at my expense (with some discount). The repair company is not Apple, but one of their contracted service suppliers. So I chose to contact Apple to tell them that I didn't want to pay for any repair or a new iPhone, so they should contact their service supplier and find a solution for me. Today I received a call from Apple and they said they cannot find any other solution.

Another thing that buggered me is whenever I call Apple, I always consent to their recording the phone call. When I called them first, I told the Apple employee that I was recording the call so that I could also submit the conversation to the consumer court. He was kind of startled and asked me to stop recording otherwise he had to end the call. Since it is not legal to record a phone conversation without informing the other party, I had to stop recording. That shows that they are at fault with their service. I will submit the interrupted conversation to the court as well (I had informed him of recording at the start of the conversation).

In the last year I bought 2 MacBooks, 3 iPhones, an iPad with an iPad pencil and an AirPods. I was happy with the quality experience Apple offered with all their products I had bought. But now I am disappointed with the poor customer relations. I believe this is not a global thing but a local level callidity. Because so far I always heard examples of wonderful customer experiences. Yet if you are in Turkey, don't expect the legendary Apple service.

    iPhone 14 Vapor Chamber

    Posted: 13 Jun 2022 12:29 PM PDT

Am I the only one hoping that the rumored 0.2mm increase in width for the iPhone 14 lineup is dedicated to house a vapor chamber, and not necessarily a bigger-sized battery?

A couple of months ago, rumors (1, 2) came up suggesting the next, upcoming iPhone would feature a vapor chamber for better SoC cooling.

Assuming the 0.2mm increase rumor is correct, surely these 2 could possibly relate to one another.

    What do you guys think?
