    Thought I'd give my initial thoughts on Blizzards new release:

    • game mostly feels good. Lots of polish, only a bit of dumbing down for mobile. Feels quite close to Diablo 3 in some ways, but much more "on rails" in terms of gameplay. Running around zones and massacring hundreds of mobs doesn't feel as open.

    • F2P vs P2W: hard to tell, though it it does seem to be introducing a lot of gambling mechanics. It's hard to tell without hitting end game, though. I'm not there yet. Given that NetEase is the actual dev, alongside Blizzard, I have my concerns. One can hope that Blizzard would maintain a good balance, but Eve Echoes sort of showed me what might go wrong.

    • Much more social gameplay than expected. Lots of people everywhere, but a lot of the stuff is pseudo-instanced or actually instanced.

    • the story feels a bit watered down. Everything is polished, lots of great voice acting, but it sort of just steers you to a boss, you kill it and move on. Not much choice or feeling of discovery. Hoping it gets more exciting, but it feels secondary to the more "core" mechanics of rifts and dungeons.

    • Combat rating, ugh. Quite misleading in some cases.

    Anyways, may update as I continue.

    I'll take anything challenging that has a story at this point. You would think there would be a gazillion free Hades clones and Monster Hunter clones. It's like Wild Rift is the only legit phone game to date.

    Looking for a Portrait Mode RPG

    I asked for suggestions a few weeks ago and they were great, but now I've got another itch! I'm looking for a portrait mode dungeon crawler/boss fighter - one where I can take and upgrade a hero/heroes with new gear and abilities to get stronger. Would like to stay away from an idle game, and I'm okay with some PvP, but don't want a P2W whale system.

    I use to play Dungeon Boss years ago and loved it, so something similar to that would be great! Just want it to be current and have longevity and devs that care.

    Anyone remember an old castle management game?

    So Recently I've been thinking back about all of the old IOS games my mom used to have our first ever IPad and I had this memory of mine unlock about an old castle management game I used to be obsessed with.

    It was in a cartoony style with 3D models and the goal was to renovate levels of a castle. The layout vividly remember had the different levels of the castle going vertically and reminded me of a doll house - the way you'd look in to the the different rooms.

    I have tried every combination of 'kingdom' 'castle' 'builder' 'management' 'idle game' in the App Store and google but Because the titles are so generic I can not find any mention of it.

    For any reference I was playing this game more than 6 years ago - and another app I used to play was 'clay jam' which is a game that is now gone off the App Store with the developer I believe not being active anymore . But I had this castle game around the same time I had Clay jam.

    Sorry if this is such a vague question and something really hard to find - I'll try look through the old IPad that had this game if not I'll try sketch out what I remember once I have time because I really want to find this game
