Posted: 02 Jun 2022 09:21 AM PDT I know this is a topic that's been discussed often, specifically with users who own the LG OLED, but I have a Sony XBR-65A8G and have been experiencing intermittent flashing black screen when watching content with Dolby Vision enabled. I've been beating my head over this and can't for the life of me figure out what could be causing it. I have the Apple TV 4K connected to a Sony STR-ZA2100 ES receiver, going to the TV. No matter what app I use (Netflix, Peacock, Paramount +, ATV +, etc…) I can be watching a program and out of nowhere the screen will flash black, sound remains, and the picture comes back after about 1-2 seconds and the "Dolby Vision" icon is seen on the top right corner of the screen. Sometimes it happens so much it's unbearable and I have to shut it off, other times I can get through a couple of hours of viewing and it won't happen at all…very weird. I've tried several HDMI cables, a Monoprice, 2 different expensive AudioQuest cables, even the recommended Belkin cable but they all had the same problems. Anyone experience the same problem? Any ideas of what I can try to further troubleshoot?…Appreciate any advice [link] [comments] |
