    Got a pretty good deal for roughly 210 dollars(200 euro) at local shop 😅 stainless steel 6 44mm, new without a box, +apple sent me a new watch band cause it had one fixator missing on the band, i call it a deal of a year for me 😅

    Background (not needed, but to inform you): she has a Series 2 at the moment, and it originally was just fine for her. Lately she's gone through many surgeries [shoulders only, nothing major - though all surgery is major] (knee was next), however recent news showed it was a fracture and not deterioration.

    Question: now I know Apple Watch has fall detection (main reason I want to give it to her). Maybe I don't remember this correctly but isn't Apple working on being able to detect your movement and figure out how likely a fall could happen over the years? Or do I not remember that correctly?

    Any additional information is appreciated too!

    Has anyone else gotten this while asleep? This was the first time I received the message; I’m pretty active, go to the gym everyday, but I dont do cardio. Could this be because I was laying on arm that my apple watch is on? It woke me up and scared me a little bit lol

    Tip: do an unpair-> restore every now and then

    I have a Series 3 watch and over a year ago it started dying quickly — usually by 3 pm and some days by noon. I tried to get the battery replaced (I would be happy t9 pay for it) but Apple absolutely will not do a replacement until the battery life health is below 80%. But I digress.

    I have a crazy work calendar so I know the notifications aren't helping.

    Anyway, I was also getting "watch storage full" notices even though I tried to turn off photos, music, and podcast syncing.

    Last week it said storage full so I unpaired and restored from a backup. Whadya know but the thing can make it through a full day with > 30% to spare?

    Your mileage may vary, but it seems to help clean out the kruft.

    Cycling with Apple Watch and iPhone 13

    I have AW7 and when I go cycling I bring my phone, iPhone is tracking steps, I guess from bumps in the road. Is there a way to prevent that other than not bringing the phone? (The phone is in a sleeve on my shoulder)

    I have an Apple Watch series 7 that I use to track workouts about twice a day. I also listen to Spotify in my earbuds during my workouts, and apparently the two systems don't get along. Every time I'm working out and I close one of my activity rings, Siri will stop my music and notify me I've closed a ring. I then have to wait a couple seconds before being able to restart my music. If I try to play it to quickly, my earbuds disconnect from Spotify and the music plays out loud on my phone. It happens every single workout and interrupts my focus at the worst of times.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this annoying bug? I've tried turning announce notifications off for different things but I can never seem to find the right settings because I'm not sure where the issue is even coming from. Any suggestions are appreciated!

    I know Apple Watch can show photos (and videos!) sent via iMessage. It's done it before. But for the last few months it's like "nah, look on your phone."

    Even if I open the message thread on the Watch and tap "download" for the image it does literally nothing. The button twitches and nothing happens.

    Is this a known bug? I did some quick googling and it's just the usual "make sure watchOS is up to date," "have you tried resetting your settings?," "sign out and then back in to your Apple ID!" 🙄

    EDIT: did a full factory reset. Still no bueno.

    Apple Watch SE sport band causing skin irritation. Seeking alternative bands.

    My wife has a gold 40mm Apple Watch SE with the sport band but hasn't been wearing it much lately due to the band irritating her skin. What are some good alternative bands that fit the 40mm SE and pair well with the gold color?

    Broken SE Display

    After a week at the beach, my wife's SE screen alternates between a black screen and bright white screen with some yellow mixed in. We tried putting it in rice to dry it. We called Apple Support and got an appointment with Geek Squad. They said it would cost as much to send it in for repair as it would to buy a new one. We decided just to cancel the cell service line with Verizon and give up on Apple Watches. Does anyone have any idea how to fix the watch? What can I do with a broken watch besides throw it away or make it a paper weight.

    Can I unlock Apple Watch using iPhone?

    A few years ago, I had an Apple Watch S2, it can be unlocked by wearing it and unlocking my iPhone, but I can't find a way to do this on my S7. Is this feature removed?

    Is the series 3 worth it for $75?

    I found a listing on Facebook marketplace. Seller says it's like new and has 2 extra bands and 8 cases. I've never owned an Apple Watch or really any watch and was wondering if this is a good deal for first time user or is the s3 obsolete now. 42 mm btw.

    Bands for Blue s7?

    My daughter picked me out the blue Apple Watch. Wouldn't have been my first choice (or second), but it's my kiddo and she got me the one she wanted to get me. It is, however, growing on me. Problem is, I can't seem to figure out what bands look good. I have a tan leather one, but I don't wear a lot of brown belts/shoes so it's a limited time wear. What do you all suggest?

    WatchOS 9: Not offering fullscreen metropolitan-watchface is a missed opportunity.

    Apple recently announced some new watchfaces for WatchOS 9. since there is a very limited amount of analog fullscreen watchfaces available right now (California and Meridian come to mind). Given this I think it's such a bummer that the new Metropolitan face (looks really nice!) won't support a fullscreen config.

    Why do you think Apple does this? Do most people never use those fullscreen analog faces? I like them for work when I don't want many complications and need to emulate a real watch as close as possible.

    Does anyone have a problem with the screen going fuzzy? WatchOS 8.6, the time between pics was a few seconds and it wen back to normal. It was also fuzzy for a day so I unpaired it, reset it, and let the battery go dead.

    41mm Apple Watch Series 7 Strap Compatibility

    Hello, I'm looking to buy a 41mm Series 7 and I have a few extra straps/bands I'm looking at. However, I can't really find any 41mm bands that I'm a big fan of, and I'm wondering if a smaller 38-40mm strap would work, or if a 42-44mm would also work (and still look good), and I can't seem to find a straight answer (my small brain is confused). Can anyone help?

    Messages are not syncing between watch and iPhone

    This has only been happening with messages from androids or automated messages (green texts). This also has only been a problem for the last 5 or s months.

    I've tried 'reset sync data' but pressing the button doesn't do anything. Ive restarted my phone, my watch, tried to wait after pressing reset sync data (which again doesn't signal that it's worked, i can click it repeatedly over and over with no function). I've unpaired my phone and watch and paired again- that seemed to fix it for a couple of days but that stopped working.

    I have a series 4– would this be the reason why? My watch is up to date as well. Any tips?
