Control center constantly locks out Posted: 14 Jun 2022 04:48 PM PDT I bought an apple watch SE about a week ago and the control and notification centers constantly lock out. Restarting the watch helps but only for a while [link] [comments]
Grocery/To do lists on Applewatch? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 04:35 PM PDT I just bought an iPhone 13. Love the phone, but my Galaxy 4 smartwatch won't work with it. With my galaxy watch, I could make a to do list on my phone and it would sync the list to my watch. Will Applewatch do the same thing? I need grocery and to do lists on my wrist, but I don't want to type them in on my watch, I'd prefer to key them in on my iPhone. [link] [comments]
Watch SE Spotify app only downloading partial of my playlist...? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 06:26 PM PDT Hi guys - quick question on the Spotify app on my SE. I have a playlist that has over 100 songs and when I try to download this playlist on my watch (so I can listen to it without my phone) it only downloads 50 songs... instead of the entire playlist. Is there a way to download the entire playlist? Or does this mean I have to change something in settings? Thank you! [link] [comments]
Case/Screen Protector for Watch 7 45 mm Posted: 14 Jun 2022 06:17 PM PDT Looking for recommendations for a case and screen protector for Apple Watch 7 45 mm. Preferably tempered glass. I prefer Spigen cases for their quality and look but couldn't find a tempered glass screen protector to go with it. All LK screen protectors on Amazon have reviews that they are cheap and come off the corners within weeks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 06:01 PM PDT Recently got some AirPods and my watch starts acting goofy. When I've used skull candy and raycons in the past with workouts everything was fine and I'd hear mile announcements and stuff through my headphones. With my AirPods though my watch will pause my music, swap to my phone's speaker for audio and then not reconnect to my AirPods. It's a minor inconvenience but it really rustles my jimmies when it happens every time I do a mile or close a ring. How do I remedy this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 05:45 PM PDT I want to sell my series 3 watch rarely using it now and was wondering the what i should list it for. doesn't have any scratches or any defects. [link] [comments]
Is there a way to hide apps? (First smart/Apple Watch user here) Posted: 14 Jun 2022 05:28 PM PDT *Ok I just got my first ever smart/Apple Watch, so pardon my ignorance * Why can't I hide apps? This seems so intuitive and I'm honestly upset this isn't a thing (or I'm just dumb and can't figure it out), but why isn't there an option to have a separate honeycomb for the daily apps? The current method of displaying apps (all of them in one honeycomb or list) seems so cluttered and unorganized, especially for a product that promotes "lifestyle improvements" I fully plan to use some apps (Spotify, sleep tracking, activities, wallet, etc) every day. I want those apps front and center, uncluttered, and readily accessible. Some apps (like gmaps, find my, App Store, ekg, world clock, etc) I'll use every now and again, and under frequently under certain circumstances, but in my day to day life they won't be opened. And some apps (email, Apple Music, podcasts, Apple Maps) I'm just flat out never going to use. Either they don't fit my lifestyle (I don't work a desk job, so will never check email on my watch) or I used a Yet they're all there, all the time. The apps I will never use, stuck on the same page as the apps I'll use every day. WHY APPLE, WHY? TL;DR: help me hide apps or create shortcuts. If this isn't possible let me vent and convince me this is still a good product. EDIT: Ok so I found the dock, and that's probably the most plausible way to have shortcuts. But shit the honeycomb looks good, I just wish I could use it with only apps I want 😠[link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 12:53 PM PDT I just transitioned from a Fitbit Versa to an Apple Watch series 7. Can I have my Apple Watch display military time, while my phone stays on regular 12HR format? (I use 24HR format for work, so that's how my Fitbit was set up. However I don't want my personal phone like that. I just KNOW some of y'all are going to touch on that, so there's my mild explanation.) [link] [comments]
I have three iPhones. Is trading an iPhone SE for an Apple Watch 1 worth it? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 12:50 PM PDT I don't want to spend a whole lot of money because I'm not sure if I'll use it consistently [link] [comments]
Can my Apple Watch withstand direct sunlight while I mow 8 hours a day in a heat wave? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 04:31 PM PDT There's currently a heat wave where I live with temperatures at 95 Fahrenheit (35C) and temperatures that feel in the low hundreds. Next week is supposed to be 99 Fahrenheit (37.2C). I mow for 8 hours a day and the watch is in direct sunlight, so is it safe? I also worry for my phone which I keep in a backpack on the mower. I keep it close to my thermos but the thermos gets hot quickly too. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 09:55 AM PDT Tried resetting my watch last night, I'm buying a new one and my wife wants this one (gen 3). It was on watch OS 8.1. When I reset it, it got caught in the boot loop. Tried all the tricks resetting it to no avail. Just got off the phone with Apple Support and they want $175 to repair the watch. Any other tips/tricks to try or should I just spring for a new gen 3 since it's about the same price? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 03:19 PM PDT Since my iPhone can detect when I drive, In the future could drink drivers be reported by their own gadgets? Or perhaps sending an SOS when you collapse drunk in the street. The watches can detect oxygen in blood, how much harder would be be to detect alcohol? [link] [comments]
Can you check usage history/ see when your Apple Watch was used? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 06:22 AM PDT I recently left my watch at my parents house when I went back to get it they were being really weird with me and quite passive aggressive. I realised that my messages are active on the Apple Watch and I wonder if there's any way to tell if they have checked them or even if they use the Apple Watch in the two-week space in which I left it before I was able to collect it? There were some very personal details on here and I need to know if there's anywhere I can find out if they read them [link] [comments]
Apple Watch paired with iPhone: How can i get message sounds from both? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 02:40 PM PDT More info: I have custom ringers (they are set to notify me at all times; bypass other features that would mute them) set up for a few people on my iphone. When i have my watch on the iphone dose not "ring". How can i have it so the watch and iPhone alerts me? [link] [comments]
Lost LTE Watch says it’s playing the noise, but mark as lost still pending? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 02:19 PM PDT Pretty much as the title says. I thought I left it at my apartment, but it says it's currently at my work, 60 miles away. I'm here at work, playing the noise. The app says "sound playing" but I can't hear it. It also won't push the "lost" mode through- it's still pending. I bought the LTE one hoping I could avoid this type of thing, but now it isn't working. Is there a way to see, for sure, that the noise is playing? If it knows the noise is playing, surely it can ping the location again? [link] [comments]
Watch alarm silences if palm accidentally covers it while sleeping Posted: 14 Jun 2022 07:08 AM PDT As the title says. I can't believe this is still a thing. The alarm is amazing when it works, but sometimes I oversleep just because my palm accidentally touched the alarm while it was ringing. The issue is explained very well here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250475573 Does anyone know how to overcome this? PS: the "cover to mute" option is disabled in my settings. This is not related. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2022 12:55 PM PDT So the other day I tried using my ECG app, and it for some reason bugs out and only works for 1 second, then resets. I'm a VERY rare occasion, I've been able to get a full 30 second reading. But 99 times out of 100, it's stuck in the loop. Anyone else have this issue, or know how to fix? I've tried restarting my devices and deleting and reinstalling the ECG app, but nothing has worked. [link] [comments]
How Accurate is the Heart Rate? Posted: 14 Jun 2022 12:54 PM PDT How accurate are apple watches at reading resting heart rates? Mine tells me that my resting heart rate is in the mid 40s which seems low. [link] [comments]
"You don't have the timer app installed" Posted: 14 Jun 2022 12:39 PM PDT Hello all, One of the primary things I use my apple watch for is it set timers for steeping tea. Up until the last week, I've simply been able to trigger Siri and say "set time for three minutes." Over the last week or so, I've started to get responses telling me I do not have a timer app installed. Since when do I need a timer app? My iphone will just start a timer without giving me flak. Is this a new feature? Does anyone know any way to get Siri to cease talking about this timer app? Thanks! EDIT: I found a lot of posts on this issue in this subreddit and on apple's official discussion boards. I reset my watch, still happening. But, I reset my phone, and it stopped happening (for now). Can someone explain what is going on? [link] [comments] |
