Is there any reason why the Control Center doesn’t have its own calculator? Posted: 07 Sep 2018 05:50 AM PDT It can get pretty annoying when you have to switch to the calculator app instead of the Control Center having its own mini calculator that doesn't remove you from what you're already doing. Just moved to iPhone 8 (got it for free) from Android. Need some help with Messages Posted: 07 Sep 2018 07:38 AM PDT I'm a bit new to iOS and just got a family members iPhone 8 for me to use now. I just got it on the network yesterday. One thing that I'm seeing is that when people send me attachments over SMS/MMS, it sometimes creates a new "group" where it shows the message is between "friend & my phone number" instead of just "friend." Is there a way to stop this in the settings somewhere or someway to prevent this from happening in the future? Because I really don't like the idea of people on Android having to have 2 conversations with me: one being attachments they send, and the other being the rest of the conversation. Problem with "optimize Iphone storage." Posted: 07 Sep 2018 05:15 AM PDT I accidently clicked yes on a pop-up while filming 4k60fps footage wether I want to optimize Iphone storage to film for longer. The thing is, I have enabled the option to outsource unused apps if that happens. So its odd to me that this didn't happen first, no app got deleted. However, the main problem now is that even though I switched the option for storage optimization off, the library still is not downloaded in full quality. every time I open a new photo it needs to download it again. I had my phone in W-Lan all day... Is there some way to force download anything again? [link] [comments]
Week Calendar forces you to pay again Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:10 AM PDT I bought Week Calendar years ago. In the latest update, you can no longer use the calendar without paying a new fee. I don't understand how this can be allowed. They have replied to some reviews in the app store saying that it is a problem with historical purchases, and that users will get back functionality. Anyone have any more information? [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 10:14 PM PDT Is there a way to have my notifications only open from the lock screen? Here's the scenario: I am doing something with my phone or tablet, typing, maybe playing a game, shopping, and as I go to touch something, a notification pops up and my finger hits it. My reflexes are not fast enough to stop from hitting the screen. And it opens the notification and switches context (goes to the app that the notification originated from). I am fine to see the notification but I don't want it to open except from the lock screen. Any settings that would control this? TIA [link] [comments]

Will photos from iCloud appear on phone after a factory reset? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 04:13 PM PDT I want to factory reset my phone then restore from a backup but first I want to make sure my photos in iCloud will still show up on my phone after its reset? Also I'm curious if my texts/mms messages be restored as well [link] [comments]

APPLE. FIX YOUR AUDIO STUTTERING PROBLEM NOW. Posted: 07 Sep 2018 04:34 AM PDT Are you kidding me? My iphone X cost over $1000 and I can't even listen to a god damn audiobook. Even youtube videos skip and stutter now. This phone is literally less smooth than a 1990's cd player in an earthquake. I cannot believe how long this problem has been allowed to persist by Apple. Many people have this problem. WHERE IS THE SOLUTION? I listen to audiobooks and music on my jogs but now I have to stop, sometimes every 45 seconds, to fiddle around with it. Seems like disabling Siri helped for a day, but now the problem is back. Also you'll get these crazy glitches with Siri so I think it may be that any slight sound is triggering Siri to activate (even when disabled, it will come up and ask you if you want to enable) STOP SPYING ON ME YOU ASSHOLES. AND IF YOU ARE, CAN YOU NOT SCREW WITH MY AUDIO PLAYBACK AT LEAST???? OMG. THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED WITH A SMART PHONE. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:35 PM PDT We got a new galaxy a8 from our phone provider for free. We can sell this and get a used iphone 6s + some cash. The 6s would be more my elderly father. I love iphones for their ease of use (it's also small and handy) but I'm wondering if i should just keep the galaxy a8? Or should I sell this phone now and wait for the new upcoming iphone to release so the used iphone market drops in price? also whats a good price for a used iphone 6s? [link] [comments]
[Question] DataMatrix "wallet" app exist anywhere? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:44 PM PDT In a perfect world I'd like to add my fitness membership card into Apple Wallet. Since Apple doesn't support datamatrix which is what my membership card uses -- I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a simple app I could use instead so I didn't have to carry the card around all the time? Thus far all the apps I've found are datamatrix readers and not meant to act like a storage device. I'm also pretty sure that Apple Wallet isn't going to get updated and support more types of QR codes in the near future so I'm hoping for something that can hold "just work". Thanks! [Question] iPhone 7 Safari causes phone to heat up. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:35 PM PDT Good afternoon, for the past few months safari has been heating up my iPhone 7 even just searching on Google.com, or browsing any website instantly causes the phone to heat up. Does anyone else have this or am I the only one? Already did a restore without a backup to eliminate that, it seems safari is just trash at handling JS. [link] [comments]

Guided access iPad locks once an hour? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:39 AM PDT There's no settings in the Guided Access menu. It's set to never lock under General>Screen & Brightness. What have I missed? We have two othe iPads with same settings and no issue. [link] [comments] |
