This has prevented Apple Mail and many third-party email apps like Spark from being viable options for me, making my only good choices Gmail in the browser (inefficient to get to quickly), Mimestream (no send later functionality, which I use a lot), or Newton (included with Setapp or $50/year on its own but slow and not very customizable). This is a big deal because now, on macOS Ventura, Apple Mail has all the features I want out of a pro email app. What should I do? [link] [comments] | ||

I keep having to boot my iMac into recovery mode to make a new user with admin capabilities and granting my user account with admin almost everyday. It really hasn't been an issue but I'd rather not have to keep doing that when I need admin rights. Anyone know why it continually strips my admin privileges almost daily? [link] [comments] | ||

However in the settings i can only find option to change this for both at same time, i would like to have them both set to different settings so once i plug my mouse in i dont need to change the settings. Its persistent even if i restart my laptop its comes back after a few minutes i don't know what to do. I have read a few other posts on the issue but none with solutions. I sure this is a software issue because it's just the cursor and not any other elements on my screen / desktop, not sure how to fix or report this issue to apple. I have scoured Google and now Reddit, and have tried/researched nearly every suggestion. Neither Wi-Fi nor Ethernet provides internet access. However, if I connect to a hotspot, I can access the web. If I reboot in safe mode, I also have internet. This is a work laptop, so it has Cisco Mobility Client AND Jamf. Ive tried:

| Should I factory reset my MacBook Pro? (very messy development environment) Posted: 14 Jun 2022 01:12 PM PDT I really, really, really messed up my development environment installations as well as all of my developer tools. For example, I have multiple versions of Python and Java installed in multiple different places, as well as a ton of packages installed using multiple different package managers, and I have no idea which came by default and which didn't. There's more problems but you get the point: everything is just a mess. Would it be a good idea to back up some important folders such as Photos and Documents, but then factory reset my MacBook Pro? All of my code is on GitHub anyways and everything else in there I feel like I can get rid of. However, storage devices, such as the SSD in MacBooks, have a maximum optimal read and write amount and while I don't think I'm near, I'm afraid that by factory resetting my MacBook Pro, it would add a lot of read and write to the SSD's life. Also, developers out there: how would you suggest I install things next time to avoid this mess? I'm thinking of trying to use homebrew for everything, but what are some good version managers and tools that can isolate my development environments, allowing me to install and uninstall stuff cleanly without having to factory reset next time. | MS Word didn't save document although autosave was on Posted: 14 Jun 2022 04:09 AM PDT Hi, I'm using the latest version (2021) of MS Word, I set autosave to 1 minute to minimize loss, today I experienced kernel panic and when my mac restarted only one document was opened as auto recovery document while all the other open documents weren't saved and unfortunately any edits i made in the past couple of days are gone! Even in the library folder location for auto recovery there was the only document I'm talking about not the rest! Why word doesn't save document automatically like pages app does? I'd have used pages but it increases file size by 20x that of Word! Although it's only text. Anyway. I didn't realize there was no support for this controller before the update. I've looked online and there doesn't seem to be any fix other than trying to downgrade my macbook back to High Sierra. I tried using the repair from internet but it doesn't work. The way I've found is to download the OS from the AppleStore, but we don't have any other Mac just Iphones.
