Why are minimized apps still missing previews when waking from sleep? Been happening almost a year now through each update.

Universal Control is INSANELY great and we won't be able to go back [15.4 RC is here]

Whether for professional or casual use, UC just made it less critical for Macs apps to hog resources or eat up precious screen estate. Now, non-essential apps can live on the iPad as secondary display while I focus on the "essentials" on the Mac. Loving it!

    Move window between workspaces

    Posted: 10 Mar 2022 01:41 AM PST

Is there a way to add a shortcut in MacOS to take the current application with you when moving to another desktop? All the Linux-OS I have tried have this shortcut and it's really useful to quickly set up multiple desktops using only keyboard.

In ElementaryOS this shortcut looks like this:
    ⇧ + ⌘ + Left / Right —– »Move window between workspaces

Logging into an old 2012 MBP's macOS Mojave v10.14.6's account that hasn't been used for a very long time (over a month or so), it triggers this message on the other MBP (2020 Intel) and iDevices (e.g, iPad air). Is this normal?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

After using Onedrive to backup documents folder (known folder move) the document shortcut on finder sidebar keeps opening the onedrive root folder

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 10:17 PM PST

    Hi,

After using Onedrive to backup documents folder (known folder move) the document shortcut on finder sidebar keeps opening the onedrive root folder. I have tried deleting plist for finder and also the preferences.plist and it did not help. The desktop shortcut works no problem. Any help would be appreciated. Running Onedrive (version 22.040, standalone preview, silicone) on Macbook pro on M1, latest Mac OS version. Thanks

macOS High Sierra video editing software?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 06:01 PM PST

Does anyone have a suggestion for a video editing software that's compatible with this OS? I'm not quite ready to upgrade to a newer Mac but I can't seem to find a video editor compatible with this version 10.13.6

Night Shift not enabled on 2nd External Monitor

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 04:23 PM PST

Im new to macOS, and I'm using 3 monitors with a new macbook pro. The built-in display and 2 external. I've been seeing this weird bug where Night Shift only works on the build-in display and one of my external monitors (it's always the last farthest to the right). Anything that would fix this? Or should I just grab some 3rd party software and disable Night Shift entirely?

2017 Macbook Pro - How long til the next new OS not compatible?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 06:26 PM PST

    Hello!

Wondering if anyone has any insight on the next models that will not be able to update to the latest / next OS?

I'm having a display issue and debating if it's worth fixing or upgrading.

    Thanks!

Does anyone know how to stop iCloud Drive/“Files” from caching so much space?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 06:02 PM PST

I have already set the limit in "Content Caching" (under System Preferences -> Sharing ->) to 5GB. That was the only "solution" I've found online although that isn't for this type of cache.

    Any ideas?

Cloud document cache takes up 200-300 gigs of my hard drive on a regular basis.

After an update to beta 12.3 I couldn't log into my mac. I made a new password and the keychain was updated too. I have the previous keychain but I can't figure out how to update it as my default one instead of the 'custom keychains' one in the keychain access prompt.

Is there anyway to make mission control/desktop switching work like this?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2022 05:13 PM PST

I want my open dock items to only show on the desktop those apps are on. Is there anyway to do this in macos? It's essentially like windows does it.
