PC Level Graphics! iPhone 13 Pro Max Apex Legends Mobile FPS / Temp Test Results

I conducted another FPS test with the newly released (soft launch) Apex Legends Mobile. Now since this game is region locked to specific areas due to this being only a soft launch, I was required to use a VPN software. VPN software does typically increase heat and stress on device.

Anyways, Starting with Thermals, the iPhone 13 Pro Max peaked at 45c after 18 minutes of testing. This is extremely high! I definitely encourage using a phone cooler if your wanting to play at current max settings. If your playing back to back games, 45c is not a temperature you want to keep your device at.

As for FPS, I averaged 59.5 frames per second after 18 minutes of testing. This is impressive! This device basically maintained a steady 60 FPS during the full 18 minutes. However, I must note, I did experience slight screen dimming for those of you looking to play back to back games. My second game I noticed the screen dropped to 80% brightness. So again, playing this game at max settings for any longer than 18 to 20 minutes does require a phone cooler or lowered brightness.

Last but not least, moving onto GPU usage and Power Consumption, this was very surprising. I only averaged about 61 percent of GPU usage and 4 watts of Power. Which is very good news for those wondering if this phone is future proof and can handle future updates in graphics as well as a potential 90 FPS option. This also tells me that the high heat is either due to the VPN and/or further need of optimization as bad game coding can cause a device to work harder than it should. But again, for now just slap a phone cooler or drop settings down from max and you are good to go!

What are some really good idle games?

I work a lot so I need some sort of idle game to play around with while on breaks etc.

I don't really like the tycoon style game I like more of idle heroes and almost a hero except that one turned out bad when I lost all my progress for seemingly no reason.

Looking for a game to play with my cousin (9m)

Hey everyone, I'm looking for recommendations on a game I can play with my 9 yr old cousin. He lives in another state, so we don't see each other too often.

Feature set:

chat between friends
easily connect games. We've played bloons together, but there's no friends system and you have to share a code to battle each other
Co-op would be better than competitive
up-front payment preferred over microtransactions
If it has cross-play with android, that would be awesome. He's on an iphone, I've got an iPad and Android phone.

I'm wondering if something like stardew valley would be good?
