| Can FindMy update in real-time? Posted: 09 Mar 2022 03:43 PM PST My wife and I previously used Life360 before she finally got an iPhone. I promptly deleted it to use FindMy just to see where each other is. Life360 was good at updating in real time. I could watch as my wife drove down the highway. With FindMy it only seems to provide an update every couple minutes. If she's driving, by the time I get an update she's covered quite a bit of distance. | How to autosync iphone photos and videos to google drive? Posted: 10 Mar 2022 02:22 AM PST So this has been driving me crazy. My wife and I currently use dropbox to back up all our media. In the dropbox app on iphone there is a setting to toggle camera uploads so that it syncs automatically. All very easy. I'm in the process of wanting to move from dropbox to google drive but for the life of me can't find a similar setting on the google drive app on iphone. The closest I can find is the manually backup photos option, but there is no auto back up option. What am I missing here? Annoyingly even to manually back up, I need to leave the google drive app open and not touch it. Why is it so difficult? The phone i'm on is a iphone mini 12 running 15.3.1. [link] [comments] | ||

| screen in screen is inconsistent Posted: 09 Mar 2022 12:30 PM PST Whenever I'm watching a show on Netflix or Disney+ and swipe up to go to the homescreen the video should go screen in screen and it usually does the first time but then when I go back to the video and try to do this again it doesn't work, not even after multiple tries. This is great and so much more convenient than using alternative apps like Musi or Brave but I don't think Youtube will let us use those features free for long. So enjoy your time guys!! An example use case for this, is that you record some step-by-step instructions using your voice and because you've placed a 'pause marker' in-between each step, when someone else plays it back, they will be able to follow your instructions without hearing it all at once and will easily be able to hear the next instruction at the tap of a button (unpausing). Also noticed my phone restart a couple of times when I would turn it on, or logging me out of tiktok, which is usually a sign I need to delete some stuff off my phone. Looked at my screen time again and Wikipedia is being used for literally all of the time where I wasn't actually using my phone. I don't even have Wikipedia installed. The only thing I think is related is the fact that I have the Brave browser which has a feature for the Wikipedia search, but I have never installed the Wikipedia app. Anyone have any idea of what this is? The thing is, if I go to a single photo and select adjust date and time, there is an option to reset the time stamp to the original from the photos exif file that is the correct one. I can do this for single photos one by one, but because we're talking about 1000+ photos, this is gonna take ages. I know there is an option to select multiple photos and adjust their date and time, but if I select more than one photos the "reset" button isn't there. | Problems with Wi-Fi / captive login on iPhone Posted: 09 Mar 2022 05:24 AM PST I have a problem to log into open WiFi. They often use the captive.apple.com page to load/redirect to the login site from a Hotel etc. But that does not happen on my iPhone. I am stuck on an empty page. And it happens with all pages that want to open a dedicated login page once you logged into the Wi-Fi. What I tried so far - Restarted the iPhone - Deleted stored info/pages in Safari - Tried to connect and used the Router IP to force open the login page in Safari. Did not work. - Tried different DNS This happened a couple of times now in different Hotels, trains and other locations with public Wi-Fi. And yes, I made sure, that the Network was up ;) My guess is, that something blocks the redirect from the captive splash page to the network login sites. | Is there any way to get permanently deleted pictures back? Posted: 09 Mar 2022 06:09 AM PST A long time ago i accidentally deleted some pictures that were very important to me. I never backed them up anywhere. My iphone 7 was full and i was annoyed so i bulk deleted a lot of media, never noticing those pictures were among them. I have done extensive research on any and all possibilities to get them back, like disk drill and wondershare recoverit. None have worked so far. Is there any way i could get them back?
