Those of you who bought an air tag for their keys, have you actually lost your keys yet? Posted: 27 Jan 2022 05:09 PM PST I don't lose my keys often (ever) but I've been thinking about getting the AirTag keychain as I don't currently have a key chain. Just wondering how often this product comes in handy for you all? [link] [comments]

Apple needs to overhaul its mobile game ads Posted: 27 Jan 2022 04:57 PM PST I don't often play mobile games, but when I need to kill time or see an ad for something that looks fun I'll download one. But man are they plagued with terrible ads. Ads that last 30 seconds then when you go to close them have a second part to the ad you must spend more time sitting through. The frequency at which they'll pop up such as ads that after every single round in a game, ads that make the option to skip or exit them so small you can't help but open up a prompt to download said app, ads that are completely irrelevant to the actual game being advertised or false advertising, developers no longer allowing you to play a game in airplane mode to just bypass all the annoyance, etc. I'm amazed that a company as wealthy as Apple, which claims to be so transparent and put its customers and users first in terms or privacy and other concerns absolutely refuse to hold developers and these ads accountable. Looking for some Apple-centric podcasts that DON’T feature Myke Hurley Posted: 27 Jan 2022 05:14 PM PST I listen to Connected and Upgrade, and I think they're both great, but Hurley has been grating on me more and more. His opinions are extremely vapid and he doesn't come across as very intelligent. Got any suggestions for similar podcasts? P.S. of course I also listen to ATP, that should go without saying 😂 [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jan 2022 12:28 PM PST Upgrading to the latest macos 12.2 will upgrade the OneDrive client, which uses the new apple finder api for loud syncing. All local files will be deleted and turn to online only mode. I had thousands of files deleted and files online were erroroneusly deleted, leading to loss of data. It breaks workflows where you need local files readable by an app. Its a joke. See Microsoft forum thread how people have fucked over by this. The blog post tries to sells the new api as an improvement in user experience.... This is so freaking stupid. TLDR: NEW ONEDRIVE API that comes with the latest macos will delete your local folder. And move it to root level. [link] [comments] |
