Why is the Timer not synced between phone and watch? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 05:30 AM PST Hey everyone, does anyone know the reason why there is no synch between the watch and the phone for timers? The only sync is that when I start a timer on my phone both the watch and the phone rings at the end of the timer. But that is only working when the timer is started on the phone. What bugs me most is that I cannot see the time left on my watch when I started the timer on my phone. Why isn't the a synchronisation that shows the timer on both devices? [link] [comments]

Im buying 2 apple watches for 2 friends - SE or 7? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 05:35 AM PST Hi, so I've been struggling for a while but am doing better now and have been supported emotionally by two wonderful people, now I'm in a better place I'd like to show my thanks by treating them to an Apple watch each (they both have iPhones 11s and macbooks airs and airpods so are fans of apple!). They are both into fitness and I though an apple watch would be not just a lovely gift but stylish and useful too! I'm fine to buy two apple SE watches budget wise but considering I don't have any apple products myself and don't know much about them would that be okay? They are super into the gym so would the series 7 be better? Two series 7 watches would be over my budget BUT I could make it happen if the extra features are deemed worth it by all those kind enough to offer advice on here :) [link] [comments]

New to Apple Watch & need advice on two things Posted: 04 Dec 2021 06:33 PM PST Okay, so I recently purchased the gold aluminum Apple Watch SE. I'm a convert from Fitbit and am looking for a (preferably free or affordable) sleep tracking app that offers sleep cycle tracking, quality of sleep rating, and auto tracking (for naps outside of sleep schedule). Any recommendations would be appreciated! I'm also on the hunt for a more "dressy" band option that is as close of a match as possible to the SE gold aluminum. I like the metal link style as well as brown leather, but I would like for the hardware to match as well as possible. If there are any that other gold aluminum users love, I'd love to see your recommendations! [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Dec 2021 02:47 AM PST Hey, I was looking to get an AW SE soon, and I have a list of faces I'd consider using for it if I get one, can anyone provide a list of SE-available faces? Thanks! Edit: to clarify, my user flair is referring to what I might get. [link] [comments]
Milanese Loop and Stainless Steel Posted: 05 Dec 2021 04:10 AM PST I've heard the graphite SS frame scratches easily when paired with the Milanese loop. Is this the case with all SS color variants (silver and gold) as well? Also, does the Milanese loop stay tight around your wrist? Does it require constant retightening? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Dec 2021 08:20 PM PST EDIT - SOLVED The problem was not with the Iphone 13 or with the Apple watch. The problem was with Verizon. I went to the part of Verizon where is says, "Manage all of your Numbershare devices". The watch was there next to the correct phone. It looked fine to me. There was a message that said, "you can drag and drop your new device to any of your phones." Well, I grabbed the watch and ran it around the screen and then dropped it again on the Iphone 13. Boom. Messages began appearing. So either is was a carrier problem OR it just worked itself out somehow. Bought an Iphone 13 pro max and Series 7 watch the same day (today). Set it all up, data synced, and everything works except. . . Messages don't show up on the watch and there are no contacts. I do get phone calls and my old text messages (that transferred over when I got the new phone) are there. Apple support walked me through the most likely steps (turn off and on, hard reset, software up to date, Apple ID same, imessage on, reset sync date, etc.) and then he said, "take it back to the store and they will give you a new one." The nearest Apple store is 3 hours away. Surely this is not a hardware issue. Any ideas? [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Dec 2021 01:51 AM PST I have the s7 and I find the sleep tracking that comes as standard to be useless. How can I turn it off so that I don't waste battery on something I don't use. I do use the watch to wake up so I guess I have to continue using the sleep mode in focus but I don't want it to track breathing and heart rates all night. Is this possible? [link] [comments]
Non-Apple chargers dual usb-c charger Posted: 04 Dec 2021 04:10 PM PST I recently upgraded to a series 7 and I'm looking for a single power adapter that can charge both my watch and iPhone simultaneously at the full speed that you would get from two Apple 20w power adapters. What should I look for when shopping for a dual usb-c adapter? I see several that say "GaN fast charger" or PD3.0, but I'm not sure if either is the right standard to achieve the maximum charging speed. [link] [comments]
Does the LK screen protector peel up if you sleep with your watch on? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 06:21 AM PST This may be a bit of a silly question, but I figured I'd ask because I'm sure there are people here who have the answer. It took me 4 or 5 attempts to get an LK screen protector on my watch properly without any dust or air bubbles at all. 100% perfect install. I know that film protectors may eventually start peeling up, like if you bump the corner of the watch or even just randomly over time. I've been using it for a few weeks with zero issues, but I haven't dared to wear my watch to bed because I wonder if sleeping on my side might cause the protector to peel much quicker than it otherwise would from friction with the bed sheet. Am I being ridiculous or is this a real concern? [link] [comments]

Apple Watch cellular is sending a ‘message blocked’ text to anyone who texts my iPhone number. Posted: 04 Dec 2021 10:11 PM PST What the title says. A few random (Android) people in my contacts are getting messages from my carrier stating 'Messages blocked by (cell line for my Apple Watch). I have no blocked numbers on my cell carrier account or my iPhone contacts list. What the heck is going on? Carrier has been no help. Is there a setting on my watch I have to toggle? Running Shortcuts on the newer watches vs older Posted: 04 Dec 2021 11:34 PM PST Running shortcuts that control my smart lights (through another app with shortcuts support) are fast on my phone (iPhone X) but on my watch (s3) they take way too long. Wondering if anyone else in the community with newer watches can talk about your experiences with running shortcuts from your (relatively newer) watches. [link] [comments]

Why does Family Setup need to be supported by carrier? Why won’t a normal Apple Watch plan work?? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 03:37 AM PST I'm on Spectrum Mobile and they support AW with a $10 add on . I want to get an AW for my kid so I can keep track of location and call him or text him. My understanding is he would need to have a unique Apple ID and be in my family group to setup the AW as a family setup device. I've done research but I'm confused why the carrier needs to specifically support Family Setup. They just provide the esim for the watch. What specifically does a carrier that supports Family Setup provide different?? [link] [comments]
Fittrack atria vs apple watch series 7 Posted: 04 Dec 2021 07:02 PM PST Hey guys for about a year i have been in the market for a health/fitness watch and was considering the fittrack atria until i read bad reviews. I then thought to myself why not look at a applewatch. So now im here trying to compare the two but no one seemed to compare them so im asking you guys what you think. And please i know apple is your lord and saviour and he died for your sins but just try to give an "unbiased" opinion please Thanks👍 [link] [comments]
What should I do about a (possible) loose connection between Watch and band? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 02:21 AM PST I have seen that there are already some past threads about this topic, but I am undecided what to do: I yesterday realized that my Nike Sport band seems to be a bit loose where it meets my Nike SE Watch, moving both front/back and right/left when trying to 'wobble it'. It appears that the longer bit on the bottom of the watch is affected a bit more. I then proceeded to try this on my main S6SS (using a regular Sport band there) and it seems to be similar. Unfortunately, I do not know whether it has been like this since I received it. My main questions are:
